Technically speaking, whenever you buy a videogame/movie/album/whatever, digital or physical, you don't actually own the product. You are instead buying a license to exhibit the product. And licenses can be rescinded whenever the creator wishes.
So when you pirate a game, you're technically stealing a license.
We can discuss the ethics of it all day, but legally it's like operating a car without a driver's license.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't they do Vikings, then Egypt, then Greece? 1500s to the 0000's back to the 0200's? Its like they throw a dart at a globe that says "Next AC location" and then build a game around wherever it lands. Also, health bars. Whatever game they added floating health bars and RPG damage numbers, AC was dead. Requiescat in Pace.

You are still leaving in Watchdog 1 times mostly. I did not see them lying about graphic since many years (10+). Gameplay is always subjective,. though. I loved most recent AC games. Even if they did not met all the gameplay expectations. Graphic and story telling was always spot on. And re SW:O, the same guys done Avatar:FoP which looks better than any other game right now. And no bugs. But gameplay wise.. it's fine. But you really need to be avatar fun to really love it.
This company does not respect you as a customer. It doesn't deserve your money.

Buy a physical copy and you will be. Anything digital wise you don’t own you only are leasing the rights to use it with the money you pay. The only thing that separates it from digital is that Ubisoft probably doesn't want to deal with the logistics nightmare of getting law enforcement to track down everyone with a physical copy and making them surrender their game.
@@apoczbugfinder The only reason for a single player game to be online only is planned obsolescense. Physical copy or not, once Ubisoft turns off the server, your $130 purchase goes up in smoke. And you better don't expect any refunds when that happens.

Just wanted to see how bad Ubisoft is handling this. And wow. They have exceeded my expectations. Single-player games should NEVER have micro transactions, should be bought COMPLETE at ONE, AFFORDABLE price, and most of all, ACCESSIBLE to video gamers of every walks of life. I miss the days when everything can be found on a cd, installed/reinstalled anytime, and if you get stuck on a level, you use cheats...THAT ARE FREE.

@@groguthelord897 What looks great about it? Looks like a pretty average open world Ubisoft game ala FarCry or Assassins Creed, just with a space skin. It features yet ANOTHER Star Wars girl boss protagonist, which dont tend to "sell" games/movies/shows/etc at this point. In fact, most properties still overusing the trope tend to see their projects bomb massively with the money paying public. Gamers are sick of another mediocre looking game with a story and character that turns them off. Factor in open, blatant social media racism from some of the people working on the project and you have a high profile bomb in the making.
But thats just me, many other people will have plenty of their own reasons to not want to support this project or the people who produced it.

It is ubisoft after all. Can't expect anything half decent from them anymore. Its probably going to get worse now that they were exposed for so called "sexism" in the workplace. That probably led to an all around snipping of male genitalia in their offices, so their games will be even more infested with that ideology now.
To be fair, I did liked the haircut in the previous footage, 80s Bon Jovi, looks cool... but in this particular trailer, the character is looking a little bit weird indeed, at 0:57 she looks like a creepy puppet

It's not right but aren't they just closing the servers of a mp game that hasn't been selling anymore? EA and others have been doing the same for ever. Also many older games are incompatible with win 10/11 making them not usable
@@dorael_ You are correct about it not being right (or left), but it's not just about shutting down some MP servers to some subscription-based MMO that by its nature can only exist on a multiplayer server and the monthly subscription fee is exactly for that one month's worth of access - it's about making a standalone, fully purchased game and all its purchased DLCs disappear completely, then for all intents and purposes deleting all that from the existing accounts of the consumers who purchased them, with no chance given by Ubisoft to play it on a player-hosted or private server of your own, which is how many games with online features function.
And it's not a matter of operating system compatibility either, which not only isn't the case here, and so it isn't relevant in this case, but even when it happens, it can often be fixed, and often is (even in cases of serious software and hardware incompatibility issues, as can and has been done with 'Scarface: The World Is Yours' for example).
Also, citing possibly the most commonly, almost universally despised publisher with the worst leadership record in the history of this 'game industry' (namely EA with their multiple 'worst publisher' ranking, and their ultra-predatory CEOs, like Andrew 'The Android' Wilson, as well as former CEO John 'The Sociopath' Riccitiello just recently fired from Unity for orchestrating the Unity engine debacle, where he previously landed like the indestructible mole puppet in a corporate Whack-A-Mole game) - is a strange example to cite as an excuse for new abuses, as if perfectly justified by past abuses, all in the name of 'whataboutism.'
Unless your point is precisely that Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot & his nepotic coterie are, or should be, contenders for that top spot of most despised publishers.
$70 dollars for the game which doesn't even include all the content for that you have to pay another $40 for the full game.
That's why you need to wait 2-3 years, to get it on sale, with ALL the DLCs and bug-free! 😉
Or pay $18 and get it all. Just don't forget to cancel the sub lol.
