The pull rates for Temporal Forces are the hardest of the Scarlet & Violet block for Special Illustration Rares and Hyper Rares. This is according to data from TCGplayer, which used a sample size of over 8,000 booster packs. Special Illustration Rares are almost twice as rare as Paradox Rift‘s and 2.7x rarer than earlier Scarlet & Violet sets. You can get 1 out of 86 packs. In Paradox Rift, they were in 1 out of 47 packs. Before then, the rate was 1 out of 32 packs.

Pull rates constantly change. So luck goes in and out. What you have to remember. The reason pull rates change. Its more regional. Finding the locations of good pull rates is the key. They switch everything around. Everyone gets an opportunity for a good experience. The reason I know this is because I am a trucker. I am tracking pull rates in different regions. I can not go to every region of the USA. But I can tell you for a fact. If you are chasing certain cards. The window for finding the cards are short. If you are on target. The states close by will have similar pulls. Good luck.

So good to finally see some pulls coming out of this set lol I havent opened it yet but even seeing lots of people seem to struggle with pulls...I wanna open it real bad lol
SV booster boxes were defo seeded with 2x SIR... or 1x SIR and 1x Gold for the previous sets, and around 11-14 pulls. I'm pretty sure you'd always get 2-3 SRs and 2-3 full arts as well. Not to mention double banger packs. They've 100% tampered with the pull rates.
I think they started the no double bangers in Paradox Rift... Can't get hits in both a holo slot and a reverse holo slot in the same pack. Paldean Fates had double bangers but only in the two reverse holo slots since shinies were in the first reverse slot... This set continues that, but with ace spec instead of shiny... So packs in this set have 5 configurations for the last 3 cards:
1) Reverse/Reverse/Holo |
2) Reverse/Reverse/ex or Full Art |
3) Reverse/(S)IR or HR/Holo |
4) Ace Spec/Reverse/Holo |
5) Ace Spec/(S)IR or HR/Holo |
Anything else would probably be an error pack.
uhhhhm ive gotten double bangers with ace spec and IRs and also ex and SIR... cappuccino right here
I got 1 pack from a PC ETB that had a Reuniclus IR in the second reverse slot and a regular Walking Wake ex in the rare slot. I feel that these packs are "errors", tho. Danny said he only pulled one that fits this criteria in the just over 2,000 packs he ripped. The Ace Spec followed by an (S)IR seems to be the intentional and more common double banger pack for this set.

Well Paldean fates had double pulls
The Golds and the SIRs are much harder to pull in Temporal Forces, which is a bit sad since I got a Temporal Forces booster box for my birthday. BTW Buddy Buddy Poffin is actually worth a dollar as it is very competitive, so don't throw it in your bulk.
Last point you made is very true, Master Ball and perhaps a few others too. I can't recall the exact card text / effect from Buddy Poffin but I've seen it included in at least one post rotation deck idea from AzulGG, Charizard ex for memory 🔥
@@CollectorReddoit is basically the new battle vip pass, you can use it after your first turn but only for pokemon with 70 hp or below
@@JustysFrank Does it HAVE to be used on the players first turn? I just had a look at the card text and thought it allowed the player to search for up to 2 basics with 70hp or less from their deck, place them onto their bench and then shuffle their deck? I thought it may have been somewhat of a Nest Ball replacement? I'm relatively new to the TCG though, always keen to learn 😊
@@CollectorReddoi said you can use it after your first turn. battle vip had to be used first turn. it is not a nest ball replacement as nest ball allows searching of any basic with no hp cap, meaning you can find pokemon v, basic ex’s, etc
I've found the pull rates pretty low in this set so in my head and please correct me if I'm wrong.(I'm relatively new to collecting)
The price of the set may be lower as it isn't as entertaining to be burning through packs with no reward but, the price of singles should be high as there are less in circulation? Imma get me another booster box this week 👽
Gold cards are always so cheap compared to other rare cards like SIR or literally any Charizard, it makes their rarity not worth it at all.

I haven't gotten a gold card yet but I did get a special illustration rare iron leaves behind an Ace spec card! Double banger!
Temporal Forces pull rates are crazy hard to hit. I did buy a box and pulled a decent amount though
There are error decks, I've had one with no code card. A booster with ex and full art. But the duplicates are just too much. I had 3 packs completely identical... I hope etb's are better I've only been opening the 6 packs and singles so far. But man is this feel like such a money pit. Hope the values are comparable to the scarcity of pulls 😅

I hope to open this set so, I can say that I opened it. The artworks looked nice but I know people said the pulls are not good. Hopefully some people got some good pulls in this set!!

The thing i find discouraging... Is not the rarity of top ten pulls...
Its the fact that all the other pulls arnt worth the price of the pack they come in...
I am sorry that you didn't have good luck with your pulls. I got 2 of the 6 pack booster bundles and I was able to pull some pretty decent cards. I got several EX cards and some rare holos. Some of the best cards I pulled were Hero's Cape 152/162, Charjabug 169/162, Minccino 182/162, Walking Wake 189/162, and Gengar EX 193/162. I will probably pick up 2 more of the same packs.
Toughest pull rates yet but it was driving values down big time. These high prices are from early playability hype and some really sharp cards collectors would like to own.
The pull rates in this set are definitely the toughest for scarlet and violet era so far. Does make it pretty sweet though when you’re lucky enough to pull a special illustration card or a gold.
Loving the art work in scarlet and violet. 3rd pack I pulled the Iron Crown special illustration rare 🙏🏻
question, when you open all these packs, are they all from booster boxes? or from a variety of products?
The pain from Paradox Rift looks to now be in Temporal Forces, not sure how to feel with it. I might stick to trying the Japanese versions unless i somehow get lucky and win a chance at a booster box or ETB, but that all relies on luck actually throwing me a bone. XD
This set is like twice as hard to pull sirs and hyper rares vs Paradox Rift. Paradox Rift will seem like crown zenith compared to this set
@@kennymorelandiii9406 I've bought a booster box, an ETB, individual packs and even the bundle packs with the promos. I may have come out with some heavy hitters, but usually none of them are the cards I really want.
I feel that the harder pull rates are an interesting thing to do. On one hand, you have a harder time pulling the chase. But the excitement of getting that chase feels all the sweeter.
For rich people its maybe a fun expirience but for people with a budget that wants to open some packs.. not so much
I believe pull rates are considerably low for this set for SIRs compared to other s/v sets. Definitely not unlucky

Pull rates are in fact about twice as bad as they were for SV base, PE, and OBF. Went from roughly 1 SIR/booster box to 1 SIR/2 booster boxes, it’s tough

yea this set is really bipolar because i saw rev open the first booster box last video and get decent hits and i opened mine yesterday and got really good pulls 14 as well but a lot of full arts and iron crown sir

as far as i have seen the pull rates have been decreased
making it harder to complete the sets
this might be bcause they wanne influence this set as a high end price set
meaning the 4 or 5 hardest cards to get will go for a lot of money
this will make people buy more packs/boosters in hope they hit the top dogs (1 of the 4/5 hardest to find cards)

Yeah, trying to get the high-tier cards in Temporal Forces is a bit too tough for my liking... also the way there is quite a bit of discrepancy between the rare cards themselves, like certain rare cards are easier to pull than others even though they belong to the same tier.

I opened 2 booster boxes and pulled the iron leaves card SAR... but the rest was brutal. Probably going to stick to singles now. Lol

I opened up a etb for this set and pulled a incenaroar ex, full art tortaera ex, lickatung illustration rare and one of those pink energy
i would have loved to see a bit more pulls from these packs 😢 so much lovely art work
Last week I opened 36 sleeved packs. I got 1 IR, 2 FA, and 2 ace spec cards. It crushed me a bit.
Yesterday I saw 2 sleeved cases opened. The first one had 0 SIRs. The second one had 3. This set is all over the place and I don't like it lol.

I think after coming off of 151 and PF (and if you bought any recent Japanese sets via TikTok), people are conditioned to seeing a pull in every other pack. It's easy to forget how horrendous the pull rate was for SV base set, PE and OBF. To be fair, PR wasn't good either. All I got were EX cards and few full arts from that.
We have killed it so far . Even a double hit!
I'm missing 25 cards for a complete set. Unfortunately I'm thinking it may take 500 more packs to hit missing cards. Searching for singles at the local shops.
I’ve opened two ETB’s and 2 booster boxes and I have quadruple of some and hardly got any chase cards
In my first ETB I pulled a gold card and my wife pulled the Walking Wake SIR from her ETB. In my first booster bundle I pulled an ACE-SPEC card and the Bianca trainer full art.
I think it's just a luck thing, to be honest.
Me and my partner have opened 4 etbs and 2 of the 3 pack blisters. Not pulled any SIRs or gold cards yet, but got 4 ace specs... 2 of which came from 1 etb. Got a booster box to open at some point, so wish us luck!
I opened 130 packs with 0 SIR so yeah the pull rate is wack
For me gold cards have been way easier to pull. I've opened around 130 packs and only pulled 1 SIR, but I've pulled 6 gold cards (3 of them were the same card though so batching is a serious issue).
I'm kind of on the fence about buying packs or just waiting for the singles to come down and get them then.
Although I do love the Ace Trainer cards, I do feel like they through off pull rates for the standard chase cards.
I opened 3 boxes and pulled the SIR gauging fire which was my chase card and a gold walking wake. Nothing else. Pull rates were incredibly bad. I’m glad I pulled my chase because I can’t afford to open anymore considering how rare it is to get a SIR
I pre-ordered a special collection package from the UK that's arriving Friday. It comes with a booster box, Walking Wake and Iron Leaves ETBs, 3 pack blister with Cleffa and one with Cyclizar, a premium checklane blister with Baxcalibur and another with Togekiss, plus a free booster pack for pre-ordering. Reason I ordered from that site was I wanted to check out their Mystery boxes (getting 2 of the $100 Ultra and 1 of the $50 mystery boxes). I'll let you know how my pull rate is on Temporal Forces from the UK once I get them.
Buying all 6 of the SARs in Japanese for the price of like 2 SIRs I what I djd. And the texturing is infinitely better. The cards legitimately look like different rarities almost. Like Walking Wake vs Walkjng Wake Ultra. Or something.
But opening packs is SUPER FUN and I know you need English to compete in most tournaments and World’s and all that.
I’m just saying - Japanese texturing on these SARs for even cheaper than the English counterparts? Seems almost too good to be true.

I agree I opened 6 packs and only got 1 good hit, one of the purple items than just an iron leaves ex
In my ETB I only got one double rare Incineroar EX, the rest of the packs had standard holo rares... The pull rates are abysmal.
Regular ex's and possibly IR's seem to be on par or better than some previous sets but the UR's and SIR's are crazzzy hard to pull 😅
I’ve pulled 2 booster boxes, got the Gouging Fire SIR and 3 Ace Spec cards, but no golds and only 3 other illustrated rares
So pulling gouging fire in my etb was lucky then im realizing. I didnt realize this set is so tough.
Really digging the illustration rares and art rares in recent sets. They just keep getting better with each set release

brother and i got 2 36 pack boxes each, and got about the same pull rates. 3 ACE, one gold and one SIR. and typical IR and EXs.

Yeah, best card after opening a Booster Box was a Iron Boulder EX. Temporal Forces pull rates are tough.
for me the pull rates havent been so great ive gotten a couple 20-50 dollar cards but well i opened up a couple boxes and well it all looks amazing and the cards are sick but the pull rates are just impossible but im having fun with it and your the one really getting me back into pokemon and im having a ton of fun with this (:

Is blister packs better than loose packs and on my first pack of temporal forces got a aspec (Reboot pod) and only like 3$ on tcg player.

Thats exactly how our energy break went, we opened 3 x booster boxes = 108 packs.. and got 2 SIR's.. I unfortunately didnt get any despite getting 3 energy spots.

I went to Gamestop yesterday and bought 4 booster packs and the first one i opened was the full art rare Iron Leaves. Didn't think i'd ever get that in a single booster pack

I got 2 trainer SIRS when I opened 100 packs but none of the Pokemon ones
idk why the gold cards don't excite me as much but the illustration rare's and some other basic cards are pretty sweet haha
the double bangers are definitely the most impossible packs to pull it seems like. and Its the ace spec with the second reverse holo spot that are the double bangers. this is probably to prevent weighing the packs though.

I seriously love the look of the art rares/illustration rares and special illustration rares. I don't see the reason for gold cards to still be in new sets though
Some places in the UK didn't get stock because of at least 1 distributer
Temporal Forces, deals with time so maybe pull rate is intentional for time taken to collect them all.

This set is the first in a new game rotation so it’s definitely geared towards deck building opposed to collecting.
Opened both ETB variants and one Booster Box, plus a few singles. Only pulled one gold, zero SIRs.

great video. I'm not a huge fan of this set but the more and more I pick up the Illustration rares it's growing on me bit by bit.
The rates are crazy. Nothing but ex's and one illustrated on my ETB and 10 packs. Then watched one kid open two packs at the store counter to pull the gold Raging Bolt. IT'S CRAZY OUT HERE.

From what I've seen the pull rates for this set are extremely hard compared to the other sets for sv but you got some really solid pulls awesome videos as always my g keep it up !
The new set has such nice artworks. I do agree that the hit rates are much lower on the top tier hits
I opened 12 packs from booster bundles and didnt get anything higher than a rare
those alt arts and the gold card at the end carried the entire opening, crazy luck.
