  • In this video, I show the results from several export speed tests. First, I exported a long video project (over an hour) with 32GB of memory and the free version of DaVinci Resolve. Then, I do the same test with an upgraded 64GB of memory. Then I upgraded to Resolve Studio v18.6, and ran the test again (dramatic change in export time). I also threw a bonus test in there, which had more effects and color grading to process.
I used the free version of Resolve for almost a year, and I've been using the Studio version for around 3 months now. In my opinion, the paid Studio version is VERY much worth the $295 price. If you're on the fence, DO IT!!
    Thanks for watching!!

can you do same test with 32GB Ram and studio?

Maybe when I open the computer again, but the ram didn't seem to affect the results hardly at all.

@@TuesdaysTurn minimal decrease in export time with 32GB?

@@aik64g The difference between 32GB and 64GB, in my test, was very little, almost the same. As I mention, I'm not a computer expert. I'm sure the bigger ram could help with real-time previews. But with export time, it didn't help.

@@aik64g I'm going to upgrade to Studio v19 soon. Maybe I will pull half the ram and run the test again, and then again with 64 (comparing speeds in v19).
