I had a p**n addiction more than half a year ago, it was terrible and I felt awful but I could stop, fell so low that I asked God to please help me because I could not do it on my own. The subsequent week my addiction subsided into almost nothingness. I had a small set back a couple of months ago but since then I have felt amazing and I thank God for helping though a bad part of my life.

Seek and you will find
Ask God for His strength to walk through this life. Ask God to help you grow in your love for Him. Learn to find your joy and comfort in Him. You can do this by reading your Bible and Biblically based Christian literature, consume Christian content on youtube. It doesn't mean that life becomes easy for you, but with God if you focus on Him you can make it through storms. It won't be a linear path Sarah. You win some battles with sins and lose some, but just know if you come to God the Father through Christ you are forgiven. Santification is a process and we will always struggle with some form of sin. However God through His Holy Spirit within us can help you to be more like Christ each day if you seek Him out and have a relationship with God's help. God bless and I'll pray for you.

I have considered myself Christian for a while but have only recently begun to take it seriously, and I am also am almost a year sober from cocaine and alcohol, because in-between the gap in my faith, a voice asked me to not give up on myself, and I got myself into rehab. it’s been a struggle even after the fact, but Jesus Christ keeps me safe and I owe him everything for guiding me even when I wasn’t sure where I stood. I’m happy to now say I am a follower of Jesus Christ, my lord and savior🙏

I have recently fallen back into lust. Two weeks free of masturbation and only a couple days ago I went right back into it. It was so sudden one moment and it overwhelmed me. I feared I had angered God and lost my salvation. But I know he still loves me and I still have salvation. I have been lust free for a day so far, hope that becomes a year eventually. It happened to me that i stopped 6 months ago, i was so close to him, i dint Even want to sin, but this weeks i got further and started lusting a Lot and i'm so sad, i don't wanna go back again
I get that. The best thing for me is going to sleep early and giving myself things to do everyday. Forning other, healthier habits helps, too. I don't know if my comment is meaningful or not, but I think it's worth it to put in my advice.
I have the same battles, try spending time with God the more you spend time with God the more strength you have but when you are tested.. remember the word of God. It’s easier said then done but we all got this I even fall

I've fallen into temptation lots of times, and just recently i've done something that absolutely tarnished my reputation in my middle school. I also have an extreme lust addiction, and as of right now, am recovering and getting closer to God.

wow. 1 month since i wrote that thing above. honestly, i think i've come a pretty long way.
i've started finding god. im reading the gospels. i pray every night. i go to church on the sabbath. all these things i can do. and im at a point now where i can overcome (most) temptation all the time, and where my past temptations and worries don't really scare me. still working on it. one thing is for certain: god has more for me, and he expects more from me and you.
im sure at some point, we're going to get to a part where we question: "man. i've done all these things to get to where im at right now. although... am i actually WITH god, or is it just another chore i have to do?" your channel answered that question, and a lot more that felt impossible to understand. your videos have given me answers i probably couldn't have found if it weren't for this channel. thank you for helping me on this journey, getting closer to god as a true catholic. and i hope this will apply to more people in the far future.

I've recently been getting closer to God as I felt that he put people in my path to help ease the suffering that I went through. Our Mother is Mary and you don't have to be a Catholic to come to her for help. She is a very powerful ally who can come to your aid and Jesus wants her and allows her to do that. She is the most gracious advocate.
@@loganfn7 we should not go to another human for help when Yahew is willing, Yes mary was the mother of Yeshua but she is simply that and nothing else. Yes go to one another as brothers and sisters to help each other but we recogonize that Yahew is the only way no one else comes to the Father but Yeshua, Yahew gave us the Holy Spirit, His word(Yeshua) as a way to reconnect to Him and help us in our times of need and to grow within Him and so that we may get to know Him. Although I have respect for mary she is simply human and we should not put ourselves in a position to pray to her or other saints when Yahew wants that part of us. @@bbrainn1653 She is the Queen of Heaven and Mother of God and therefore will be venerated as such. None of this makes her God, and none of this makes God any less God. Her intercession is powerful due to her unique position as God's mother and Queen of Heaven. This is still not to say she is a deity, only that God listens to her and she has the tender care of being all our spiritual mother.

The part about “everything staring with a thought” really and truly helped me get through many temptations. Every time you start to think of something wrong or bad in any way, just tell yourself “it all starts with a simple thought” and keep going!

I like the point you made about making temptation part of our daily labour. With this new perspective, I can now anticipate and expect temptation as something bound to happen as part of the human experience, sent to test me and make me stronger rather than an absolute nuisance taking me away from a comfortable life.
Recently its been harder and harder to find a reason to live, this video so far is really helping me find it within myself to actually try to resist the overwhelming temptation to just end it all.
Thats hard, when I was in that same boat I was just searching for something worth living for. You search and search and search and search until you finally look at God. When he’s the only thing thats left, you seek him and seek and seek and seek and finally find that he is worth it. He’s worth the next breath you take, the next step you walk, the next meal you take. I’m definitely not putting down what you’re going through but I know one thing it’s not bigger than God. ““I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. Here’s a trick I sometimes use. When you get a temptation, within the first 5 seconds say “In the name of Jesus Christ NO!” I find this helps a lot of the time hopefully it helps anyone else as well 🙏🙏

Jesus Christ saved my life and helped me realise God's love stretches to the end of time and more and life on this earth is just a mist and anything this world has to offer is nothing compared to an actual relationship with the God of all things. "Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you." - James 4:8 . The word of God says that we have all sinned/disobeyed God and we don't realise it but because God is the pure source of all love and goodness we have fallen very far from his standards into spiritual death. we'd be in a world of pure goodness if it wasn't for sin. so that's why he sent Jesus for us to be a perfect sacrifice who never did wrong. That's what happened on the cross, he paid for our sins so if we put our trust in him we are restored to God and goodness and go to heaven, partially bc it's like we are trusting in God and not ourselves."
Turn to Christ. Those who reject him will be thrown into outer darkness. Don't let that be you.

Be willing. Don't let pride be your downfall as it was the devils. If you harden your heart enough everytime God knocks at it, He'll grant your will and harden it for you. That is the unforgivable sin.
Great video, however Mary doesn’t help with our temptations. It is only God himself through his spirit who provided us a way out

My dear Protestant I think it would be a good idea for you to read about Orthodox Christianity and mainly about the history about it.
The Orthodox Church exits since Christ was lifted to heaven, and was made through most of Christs apostles.
Every tradition from icons, way of service and the praying to Saints, Prophets and The Holy Theotokos was based from that time. Which was also the time when the Bible (New Testament) was written.
I hope you will see that God and Christianity is more than just the Holy Bible and that praying to Saints and especially our Mother Mary is a good thing 😊.

In the daily 12th hour prayer (Compline) there's this part that really resonates with how you described it.
"O pure Virgin, overshadow your servant with your instant help, and keep the waves of evil thoughts away from me, and raise up my ailing soul for prayer and vigil, for it has gone into a deep sleep. For you are a capable, compassionate and helpful mother, the bearer of the Fountain of Life, my King and my God, Jesus Christ, my hope."
What would we do without the prayers of the saints.. Especially thay of the mother of God.
P.S. No Copts Don't worship saints rather ask them to pray for us before God.. Especially that of the Virgin.
the most powerful points you make are the ones where you don’t just repeat what has been constantly told to us but the things which we easily forget. for example during prayer it’s not only about material need but more importantly spiritual needs that God is most concerned with; or where you say it’s not only the main temptations of lust, greed, envy but also doubt, overthinking & self pity. It really breaks me into joyful tears when iam sometime shown a glimpse how it might Be like, that we once can completely and openly be joined with people like you who helped us so much but we only knew them partially in earthly life, and in the heavenly eternity we will know each other openly and fully, rejoicing over how infinitely Good and Great God is.... I really treasure the hope/vision of meeting with you in fullness in heaven once.
And already now, if our eyes are opened, you see that such blessed voices like yours are literally the voice of God speaking to us. It almost couldnt be clearer :D yet many of us dont see.... May all the lost sheep recognize Christ and let Him find and gather them.
But what i wanted to say when i began writing :D was that the sounds in this video vere absolutely brilliant! :D like REALLY!!! it just worked SO WELL to communicate what was needed! The vehement the crushing of the boulder downhill, the deep hits/'echoes' of Awe, the disgusting slurping of demons...just to name a few.

That hit me so deep (tears of beauty). The simple image of Her in the blue skies of heaven with Her cloak gently waving... wow♡ I now really know much more deeply on an intuitive level that She is the Mother of mothers also to me. Always there to guard me so that Christ can prevail in me. The image of Her loving purity calming the restless agitation of our will during temptation just resonates so deeply within me.I was already being shown deeper and deeper reverence before Her during last half a year. But mostly by Jonathan Pageau (orthodox icon carver who deeply understands the language of creation if you dont know him) so it was mostly about awe before Her Cosmic mystery and significance as the Mother of Creator, the union of the pure calm waters but also the bitter waters (mara) . Then the Angel of the Lord prayer especially evokes deep sense of awe before Her chastity and singular absolute devotion to God's Will. But it was more or less only a looking upward towards impossible Goodness. Now you made me really know how She is also so much more than a supreme emodiment of virtue and an example to be looked upon with utmost awe and love. But She is also a personal loving Mother to be approached for consolation by all of us broken people and to actually open in us the possibility of receiving Christ's Spirit into us. It is really tragic that we today mostly dont know we are offered this heavenly connection, and that She is not only not revered with absolute love She deserves, but that many of the 'charismatic' protestants view and present Her as unimportant and a mere human who happened to give birth to God Himself. As if that is something ordinary that just happens to you and could happen to anyone. It seems to me you cannot really get a sense of who Christ Is and love Him without loving Mary. O Mary thou are indeed the most blessed among women and FULL of Grace! As our 'beggar friend' says, the most pure, docile and loving to ever walk the earth. Please keep us in the times of temptation and may we always know that we have loving shelter in You.
Btw it's really funny and mysterious that in the context of this video using 3 common adjectives and a simple image of Her bright figure in a blue background you portrayed Her to me more beautifuly, deeply and profoundly than many intricate paintings, statues or poems. Though the unitary catholic song book has quite a few very beautiful and simple songs that can really connect you to the profound mystery and beauty of our Lady. But consindering that they are sang in a beautifully ornamented church with the mighty pipe organ and that your simple image connected me to the same depths in living way is really beautiful. Though dont get me wrong i probably dont realize that a lot more effort than i imagine goes into a video like this.

Pentecostal watcher here, no video has quite helped me get a grasp on how to tackle temptation as good as this one. It helped give form to the things trying to destroy my relationship with Jesus. How do our religions compare? One is as the Moon. One is as the Sun. One calls for a violence. The other calls for peace. I'm telling you this because even though our religions share some concepts. To put it bluntly, yours is not true.
Jesus Christ let himself be crucified so that he could be able to save you from your sins. There is no greater love and compassion that you can show someone on this earth than to sacrifice yourself for them. And that was what he had in mind for YOU, and for everyone, when he was carrying that cross. Please consider this, and with repentance sincerely ask him to show himself to you and he will. He is the Light the Truth and the Life, The Prince of Peace and he has proven himself worthy for lordship of this world. No one comes to the Father except through him. And when the harvest is ready he will come, banish satan and judge everyone who has ever lived on this earth, and reign on it for a millenium before he will carry us all up into heaven with him. Please let him be your shepard, be crowned and inherit everlasting peace, glory, love, life, and progress. He wants YOU to become a part of his eternal family. Will you answer when he knocks? Will you accept his invitation? Will he find you to be a good servant when he returns to his vineyard? It's your choice. In the name of your eternal security I hope, sincerely, that you make the right one.

Christianity is a true religion same as Judaism and Islamic, they are all from the same God, the difference is time, Judaism is the oldest, followed by Christianity and then Islam, I believe you already knew that, the reason why I chose Islam is bcs it's the last book from God. I had a porn addiction but today I wrote my “why” down. Why I want to stop. I want to stop A. For Hashem and Yeshua. B. For a girl, the sweetest most amazing girl I know. It would crush her to know I had that addiction. IT ENDS TODAY in the name of Hashem and Yeshua! I hope whoever needs this reads this. Sin is temporary God is eternal. He says “I will never leave you nor forsake you.” I learned that today for real and never forget it!! I love you Lord! I hope I marry this girl one day.

I’ve found that a great way to quickly get my mind off of whatever temptation I could be thinking about is to recite a passage or chapter of Scripture which I had previously memorized (Like James, for instance). Prayer and Scripture are the best tools to think about “whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is pure, whatever is just, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable…”
