Keith Jackson was the best announcer I've ever heard call a ball game.

I'll take Gus Johnson. But, except for a few fumbles early, this is one of Jackson's more iconic game calls.

The crowd noise rule....what a friggin joke. Watching this game in honor of Terry Glenn who passed today 11-20-17.

I don't know who produced this game, but the change in camera angle during Terry Glenn's 85 yard play made me truly respect the craft. I couldn't believe someone had the wherewithal to change angles in the middle of a play!

Change angles? It was like he was shot out of a cannon from a full stop.

Love the notes posted in the video. I remember this game so well. It pretty much ushered OSU into a top team in the modern era.

Nick Umoh Absolutely. This is one of the biggest wins in Ohio State history; it set the table for the glory days of the Cooper years.

This is maybe my favorite football game of all time. It has everything: underdog wins, a comeback, Regis mouthing off, iconic plays, Eddie rushing for 200+ yards, the crowd exploding on Glenn's long TD catch, Ron "will win the Heisman trophy twice" Paulus losing after taunting the crowd, everything good about college football.

That crowd noise rule was ridiculous. Talk about taking away a team's home field advantage. Thank goodness the officials didn't always enforce it, and thankfully it doesn't exist anymore....in fact I didn't even recall that it was still around in '95.

Imagine what Terry Glenn could have done if college football was more passer friendly like it is today.
His numbers were huge in an era when college football was still more run than pass

The biggest thing is that the Bucks have had 15 realistic chances to at least split an NC since 68. We've won two. 68,69,70,73,74,75,79,93,95,96,98,02,03,06,& 07. We either couldn't beat scUM, win our bowl game or as in 98, MSU. That's the life of us being a Buckeye fan. I wonder if any other big time program has had as many realistic chances? Look back at these years and you'll see what I mean. How many other years durring this timeframe have we had great teams that underachieved?

@dowutado wish Beanie stayed for his senior year though. A healthy Beanie would have got a Heisman. Both are BEASTS!!

True. But Eddie George isnt getting a Heisman in an Urban Meyer offense with a QB like Miller.

Notre Dame getting beat, always enjoyable. This game meant Notre Dame had no shot at the National Championship in 1995. That made this win even sweeter. Notre Dame football: overrated. The Irish need to join a conference.

  • @njc2o
    @njc2o Před 15 lety +1

that makes no sense... you go for 1 and give yourself a chance.. making it one possession there is far more important than making it 7 instead of 8.

"Going for 2... for some reason..."???
if they had made it, they would have been down by 7 points, instead of 8 with a PAT.

Whaaatttt? Did you actually watch Eddie? Beanie wasn't anywhere near Eddie's level....Eddie had more big time runs in his Heisman year than Beanie had in his career...1900+ yds in 1995 for Eddie is still by far the school record....in my lifetime, Eddie was by far the best RB for OSU...
