Fishing Porn, no other word for it. 😂
Thanks Paul 😆.. some good days but many many poor ones like most people this year.
@@nairnfly Ive done not too bad this season to be fair. 14 sea trout and 7 salmon and lost as many!
Superb fly fishing….thanks 🐟
Excelment video. No inane chat or whooping whenever you get a fish on
Just competent casting & handling. Well done.
Thank you very much Richard
Excellent video for a Friday night, just how it is, the highs and lows off Salmon fishing.....my dog had kittens when she saw the Pheasants lol.
Thanks Alan, aye there were plenty of pheasants 😂
Great watch, some nice fish and what a stunning river that is. We were over in the summer and walked the Logie section near Randolph’s Leap with the kids, absolutely stunning gorges and cracking looking pools. You make it look easy but so many of those pools in your videos would be a challenge to fish.
Thank you yes some are bit of a challenge but its a stunning river to fish. Rises quicker than any other river i know so need to keep an eye on the Sepa guage.
Great vid. Also to see those different beats is great. Pollochaig does look amazing.
Thanks Colin its quite a diverse river most beats are stunning to fish. With Pollochaig it is very remote and the river wider than you would think. Well done on your recent captures !
Brilliant video - really enjoyed this film, appreciate th e editing! Cheers Paul
Thank you Paul it does take a wee while to pull it together.
Nice film mate 😊
Thanks guys you getting fishing withdrawals yet ? :)
That gaelforce line is a beautiful thing isn't it? Just makes everything so easy!
Yes it is I swapped all my lines for gaelforce 2 years back can't fault them really.
@@nairnfly I have done the same pretty much. I have one of their destination rods. Stunning thing! Little heavy but just a lovely action.
hi davie, i've met you on the 'horn a couple of times, hope you're well pal, i just ordered a gaelforce EIH shooting head for my new danielsson, changing from a vision hybrid which was great for me, you reckon the gaelforce is a step up then? i've never noticed in real time how your line goes slack when a salmon jumps like that, totally different in slow motion! tight lines for 2024 🤞🏼
@@johngraham5996 not the man you are asking after but the Gaelforce EIH is incredible. Absolutely beautiful line with a poly leader. I don't think many lines compare to them.
@@Sunray-Scumbag thats great to hear mr mayo, really looking forward to giving it a throw! is it as balanced as claimed then?
Great video David. That pool at Pollochaig is a beauty isn't it. If you catch the conditions and time of year right it can be phenomenal. I had an 8 and a 11lb out of there within 10 minutes of each other last year. You did well to drive up the track as they removed the public access rights from what I was told so fishermen can't drive up there now 😢.
Nice water yes the beat markings\marked parking are not great though i realised half way up track and doubled back to park a distance away at what i assumed is the parking. Have highlighted to Moray estate areas for improvement if possible.
@nairnfly I did the same. I think the beat starts just below the water level hut where a drainage ditch goes into the river thats what it looks like from the map. I parked beside the field the first time I went was told that the public access had been removed the 2nd time I went though. Its a shame as it stops a lot less able people from fishing it as its a long walk to the car and back.
Excellent stuff can I ask your set up
It looks like a Loop Z rod and a Gaelforce fly line to me.
I have the Loop ZT ( travel ) 6 piece 13ft 7 weight and recently purchased a Gaelforce multi tip line for it. This is a serious set up, if your in the market for new rod I would suggest you try one out, you wont regret it 👍
@@billytheghillie cheers thanks for info.
Thanks yes its for the most part the Z1 13ft with Gaelforce spey line. Rods a re great as Billy says.
@@nairnflylooks a great set up but a bit pricey for me had a look on ebay fished forres this year nothing seen plenty on the 2nd trip though.
