Well, having been a victim of the cowboy owner of this firm when he was doing "motorsport plumbing", I'll definitely be sticking to Carp Porter. I guess at least in this industry, this guy cant kill any customers with his awful work like he almost did in his previous business (now dissolved).
But i guarantee he will be letting customers down (buying directly from him, no thanks!) and letting suppliers down big time with his cowboy ways.

Is the other barrow the Trakker xtrail compact? What's that like with the conversion kit? Looks like it has better ground clearance on the front panniers.

Very impressed with mine that arrived last week. Just a shame it took so long to arrive. Really are well built. At my age(74) it’s going to help getting to swims that were beyond me due to arthritis and back and hip problems. You young anglers have that to look forward to.

Really happy for you I assume they told you 11 weeks, you were able to wait 11 weeks or you work for Carpology or BCUK?
@@h3xys I was told 8 weeks but in today’s world getting hold of components too make things is difficult so I understood them being late and I don’t work for either of the said. I was just patient

Really nice video and the wheel looks good quality and a smashing idea. I would say if BCUK could reduce the costs to £199 they would definitely sell more. Me and my 3 mates for one
The wheels themselve cost over that without the extra stuff.

I place my order after having surgery and needing a motorised barrow for a fishing trip, as others stated the delivery is 14-28 Working Days (around 6weeks). On working day 27 in their eyes and 28 in mine, they stated when contacting BCUK they were now working to 4-8weeks but had not informed me stating they were so busy, this, that, there was a "y" in the day of the week, and to top it all them gave me an "expected" delivery date 9weeks after placing the order. This was useless to me as this was the week I was away so tried to cancel which again was difficult but they did do, mind you I have not checked my account and they are "so busy" I really should check they have completed the refund. Unhappy not knowing where to turn, what to do other purpose built powered barrows are either underpowered or too big for me however, I found GAP "Global Angling Products" contacted them paid a little bit more money than BCUK but with a bigger battery so possibly the same and received the item in 6 days including a weekend, a Royal Mail postal strike, so if you want a Barrow Conversion I would rate them, obviously this video has had been a massive plus for BCUK but is extremely negative for the consumer. As an update after cancelling my order which they clearly managed to do as it did not arrive as stated 9weeks after placing the order, I forgot to check if they had refunded me my £550, on checking 5weeks after cancelling they had not so had to contact them again to get the refund, please be careful if placing an order with BCUK it will leave you with a bad taste in you mouth.
How are you finding the gap barrow conversion kit is it any good ?
@@TroyThorpe-ev1 Hi Troy I am happy with it, it gets me to the lake and back, however I have only used this one so have nothing to compare it to but it does what it needs to for me, and it arrived in 6 days from order no fuss

Ordered one on November 2/22 still waiting February 17/2/23 16 week's told 8- 10 weeks so still pushing mine.
I feel your pain but surely you expected the massive delay after reading all the comments on this and the other video? Have you tried contacting them and if so how did you get on?
Awesome bit of kit, but as usual us anglers who struggle to get money for bait are priced out, I was riveted as it would Awesome for my arthritis but came back down to earth when I knew I could never buy one. I'm in the lottery tonight though so you never know! Haha

Looks great, but I take my drop in bag into the bivvy at night, I leave my waterproofs, cooking gear, lights and overnight bits in there in the day....

Naysayers listen this 1 is brilliant just got mine, take what you want where you want I've tried nash and carp porter this is better quality and performance and is custom to any barrow. Super smooth when free wheeling well worth the money great kit
Ordered my kit with lipo batts 3 weeks ago, still awaiting delivery as they are super busy, which is indicative of the quality and value of the product kit, anybody who think these ain’t cheap are clueless as the motor kit with out batts and charger are alone around the £180 mark from china, then the custom forks & throttle bracket Mount and wiring speed controller box etc…. This kit is a bargain as opposed to purchasing a electric barrow from nash/carp porter!!! And if you change barrow in future quick message to bcuk they will hook you up 👌

They are a great bit of kit at a decent price, mine finally turned up last week. Only issue I found was it’s a 2 month delivery time

The new nash power barrow is £500, this conversion is £400 for the cheap batteries a bit steep
Where did you see a Nash power barrow for £500 ? Had a look online, they do 3 I could find, cheapest was £699 up to £899 .?.????

Nash barrow is also 150W, these are 350W. More for your money with the conversion

I’ve ordered one for my mK2 fatboy. Can’t wait. The only thing that pisses me off is that your warranty starts on date of ordering it. If it takes 12 weeks to get to you, you have a 9 month warranty……wtf………..

They are great quality and when you work out what they will be paying for the part they are reasonable.
Just bring less kit. It's amazing Carp were ever caught a few years ago before the Tackle Industry fooled you into thinking you need a barrowful of gear to fool a fish. Just saying. 🙂
Not really a valid point. The majority of the stuff we carry on out barrows is to keep us more comfortable and protect us from the weather. Travelling light is fine for a day session, but some of us want to fish for more than 10 hours at a time and if your fishing for big carp, a day often isn’t usually going to be long enough to be very productive.

6.8kg max 1.8kg min, in either case it only comes into effect if the weight isn't over the axle

If you can't push a barrow to your peg, you've too much kit, or your not fit! Either way you need to cut down!
@mike rom - or some people have disabilities, and struggle to push their barrow long distances , some large lakes require a lot of walking , so wouldn’t this be usual for people with physical issues and probably the older generations 🤔🤔
I am disabled so the conversion allows me to push the barrow further so I have access to more swims.
Good review but so not worth it to convert a barrow to electric it will cost £350. Great for some ppl who wants to throw money away (hate all you want just my opinion)
Here's my problem; I order one of these, and the wheel comes with the kit - an unnecessary expense, and I have a spare wheel knocking about cluttering up the place. BCUK really should think about this and streamline their costings down as they are asking us to pay for an extra item that we really don't need!
The wheel isn't just another wheel. The motor and gearbox is inside that wheel.
@@joeeke91 Yes, I realise that , but what im getting at is, that they could sell a gearing mechanism which im sure could be bolted or fixed onto an existing wheel somehow.
@@clivejohnson9515 how would they make the gearing mechanism? It would still involve having to add something to the wheel to drive it. Where would it go?
@@jimjam8149 that I have no idea on I admit. I just think there must be away of working around the fact that anglers who buy this will end up with a spare wheel kicking around. I'm sure a competitor will look at this and come up with something.

It looks a good bit of kit and I was going to order one but after reading so many negitive comments about the guy Mitch and the really bad customer service and the ridiculous long delivery times I will have to give it a miss and order from a different company where you do not have to wait almost 3 months to receive it!!! Also the fact that your warranty starts from the date of ordering and not the date of receiving the item is nothing short of a outrageous.😡 like the man says, after having to wait almost 3 months to recive the product you are actually only getting a 9 month warranty and if the customer service is as bad as people say I do not feel confident you will have your problem taken care of if you have one!! So no thank you.

Stay well away from this company! They state a 9-12 week lead time when ordering but I was waiting over 19 weeks and then they cancelled my order with no explanation. They don’t respond to emails, they had closed there phone line so you have so way of contacting them. Just pay the extra for carp porter
After heard stories about this company I’ll give it a miss

I think a good bit of kit if supplied by a company who cared about there customers, but as the most unprofessional company I have ever dealt with, i see some being told 8 weeks and still waiting 16 weeks later, there are other companies away from BCUK but don't get reviewed as probably did supply Carpology with free gear

Ordered a wheel on october 18 2023 now jan 1st . EMailed to ask for an update in december .no relly still . Got untill the 10th which is 12 weeks then its getting canceled . Crap custemer service.
Bet you 20 quid you never get a refund.
Absolutely shocking company to deal with paid £480 upfront waiting 16 weeks for conversion spoke to Mitch on the phone didn't give a toss basically just gave me more ifs , buts and maybes ontop of previous lies ! laughs at you down the phone avoid at all costs
