/Gore hâ do khaisen (if all Christians listened to the words world would be better place)

One trumpeter recently said he is tired of this song and does not want to play it any more. I advised him that if you appreciate the privilege to play in church you must play every hymn as if it’s your favourate. Each song has special meaning to someone. Anyway as I always say this song is much much appreciated even by non-christians. The Damara-Nama words has unequal meaning making the song sacred, to me! I asked the //Nae-ei-#khakis research group, who wrote the words and she said it’s the Germans. I found that unbelievable. You must be somehow romantic, poetic and be of faith (not have faith) in other words as they say (dûdûb gose). Even the greatest composer Johan Sebastian Bach loved this song so much that others thought it was his song. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want no synthetic choirs, trumpet playing, vet koek eating when I die. I appreciate the people who invite me to play with them whilst I’m alive, cause now is the only time I can hear music not show-off services afterwards. Yes I listen to music more than I play and I listen to everything, including secular like Langarm, Ma/gaisa, Rhumba, Jazz, rock, etc (I mostly practice, what musicians are supposed to do).
