@@crustbikes To be totally honest, I have a '90s Redline 'cross frame. 'Safely wise' it only fits 30mm tires, but I banging up my rims on mtb trails. So 33s barely fit if I grind some of the side knobs off. That 3mm makes ALL the difference! If it wasn't aluminum, I'd crimp the chain stays.
Having a vintage Bianchi, I was looking for something similar but minded for more modern components. The Malocchio was one the candidates for my next bike build. It's a very nice bike. I however ended with a Soma Pescadero due to the fact that I preferred getting a non-threaded headset.
Thanks for the bike check, Matt. I love the art, tubing, and tire clearance. How does the ride-feel and character compare against the Lightning Bolt canti?
Pretty nice ride you've got there. I love old steel bikes and own some quite vintage ones. I've also 'underbiked' and ridden off-road on road racing bikes before MTBs ever existed. I'm a pro mechanic. You need a little smaller tires. You don't have safe tire clearance. You need at least 2-3mm clearance around the tires. If you pick up some sticks, a stone or other road trash, it could become stuck between frame, tire or brake caliper. This will skid your tires. It might also damage your sweet frame. On the front wheel it might lead to an accident. Off-road in particular this is pretty important.
@ 2:54 approximately 5 sheets of paper clearance I’d reckon.
I'd be written up or maybe even fired if I installed (crammed) tires like that into that frame or fork. Not exactly safe.
The safety police have locked me up, don't stress it any longer.
At the very least don't regularly ride it on rainy days, that's just asking for a front wheel lockup.

Blondie wants her bag back😂
Looks like a Brizzy mozzie will fit between that rear tyre and brake; good to go!
It's a beauty!

Those bikes look cool also.
If they aren't pissing they are attacking!
Loved this bike check! Cheers! 🙂
Thank you for watching.

This bike is a bit stiffer and for me seems to want to be used harder then the lighting bolt. But that could also just be in my head.

Very. Narrow. Tires. 🤣 Not a fan of that ride quality either.
