  • In this video we see two class 37s on a UTU test train in the Scottish highlands with locomotives being 37116 & 37254.
This used to be quite common in the highlands, but with HSTs taking over the test trains in recent years class 37s on these test trains have become increasingly rarer in the highlands of Scotland.
We also see a variety of other trains including things like the Royal Scotsman, some LNER and ScotRail services, and a Class 43 hauled test train.

The stoneblower at 03:34 is DR80210 and it always runs under 6U30. every track machine has its own headcode it runs under no matter when or where it is running. good video mate

I’ve said it before, but I think the Royal Scotsman is one of the smartest trains around.
    Another great video.
