Mihajlovic flicked his foot to create spin as he kicked the ball. I’ve practiced doing it this way and it’s effect is amazing BUT.. the timing of it is so hard to get right. That’s why it amazed me how he did it right every time! Freak

Pivoting your foot or drawing a line upwards with the big toe. It's a simple action but the timing needs to be spot on

Dipping shots r usually effective when its shot low and it bounces.

Just confirms what I’ve been thinking for a while now. All these videos that tell you where to strike the ball, what part of the foot to use, what kind of follow through you need, aren’t all that useful. Maybe for one or two elements like a type of follow through that’s counterintuitive and you need to think about, but I think most pro players just develop a feeling for it through practice. It’s more about learning with your body than mind. Your mind is there to project the ideal kick, flight, spin, etc., but your body needs to make it happen. You can’t outsource every little detail to the mind

So I’m 13 years old and sometimes the ball is to hard so does that rely on technique or power so can you please teach us how to make ball go high but on target
I trained barefoot starting with wall passes then kick ups. I also started shootinf and stuff (made my foot hurt). It was worth it tho. It helped me get used to it
firstly,
Train Barefoot. It will increase the connection of the ball with your feet more.
Work on your Technique. I train inside my room, and I don't hit the ball to hard. Just hit the ball with the correct technique and practice over and over everyday.
Find a wall. Mark a spot on the wall where you want to hit the ball. Use the correct technique and hit under the ball slightly using the technique to hit that height.
Your technique should be hitting slightly under the middle of the ball, your planting foot should be in front the ball like 50%, Then take your shooting leg, take it back as far as you can, use the inside part of your foot that you use to pass the ball , slightly inwards, and shoot through the ball using the technique, completing your follow through.
make sure you take a 60 degree angle from the ball, 5 to 6 steps back.
