He's an alien from a whole galaxy hundreds of light years away with too much alien knowledge amoung other things to not be exploiting that & just have him changing into things head first all the time. Superman is not just his extreme power set but brain as well they just never use it. Think about it. You're an alien from a world thousands of years ahead of Earth, when it comes to technology & vast knowledge, with a yellow sun that has a extreme affect on your physiology magnifying everything your whole body and senses doesn't that include his brain?

Not only did I love Tyler's Superman, while initially believing it couldn't possibly work, but the production value on this show was outstanding and the writing was on point. It's also the story of a mature superman who doesn't need to spend a long time solving little problems or being constantly bested. He is fully Superman in all his glory, and his arc is more about family life. This is a great show and I'm really looking forward to the second season.
Imo he's the best depiction since Christopher Reeves he da 🐐 but da CW killed it all around with this show great acting action scenes CGI and a great story I can wait for season 2 to start 💯💯

This show is pretty great and and someone else said, Superman uses pretty much all of his powers constantly. It isn't uncommon for a lot of Superman adaptations to shortchange Superman's superspeed even in high budget movies like MOS and BvS. Other adaptations leave out his Freeze Breath and superbreath.
And for Smallville for example, they left out Flight.
But in Superman and Lois, Superman uses all his powers including slow-motion superspeed.
At the end of Smallville Superman did fly
Well In smallville he didn’t want clark to able to fly yet because smallville is the focus of his journey, not Superman. Tom welling said that they brought in a script for clark to fly in season 1 or 2, but that would defeats the whole purpose of smallville and that the show wouldn’t survive if clark was able to fly.

This looks actually a lot better than I thought and also this superman iteration is pretty impressive with his feats here. All of this is pretty casual to him despite being a tv show, it reall sells that he is the strongest hero on his world
Did you know Black Adam is often the strongest person on any battlefield. The power of the Wizard grants him amazing strength, allowing him to fight it out with Superman if need be. It'll be interesting to see how long this current stint as a hero lasts and just how much his power will make a difference.

I did not liked him at first but Tyler portray's along with this show writing made me interested, i always tough he was boring because he had no real weaknesses and this show gave him the biggest weakness : a family to care about and this is a part of Superman i did not knew about. There is everything in this show, it is not a generic super hero product and it is really well made !! 😊

In tv series, they always make superman fast like flash. That costs less money then showing slow solid physical fast
True. This is especially noticeable in the flying effects (take-offs and landings especially). There's no reason for Superman to always launch off the ground in a blur. Sometimes it's nice to see him gently glide up into a controlled acceleration (ala Christopher Reeve) so we can really appreciate the perspective of him flying next to people on the ground.
While that is true, Superman definitely has super speed lol, outside of this and smallville you don’t see it outside of the comics a lot

This show is unbelievable. Idk how the CW could pull this off and still have flash with 70’s level CGI 😂
A lot of the camera work, coloring, sound effect and even music score is heavily similar to Zack Snyder's Superman, which is to no surprise here, the director for this show has said he is indeed a huge fan of Zack's Superman, and it shows through his work in this series, and despite how many people dont seem to like Zack's Superman, he did a lot more things right with the character than he did wrong, and it shows right here with this TV show, hell even some of the scenes and effects are pretty much cut straight from Man of Steel and how Zack writes the character. We would probably not have a show this good if it wasn't for Zack's work influencing some of the show.

If you notice carefully in his suit, they took some inspiration from Henry Cavill's Superman Suit by adding some shining plates under his suit skin, near the abs and chest, to make him look bigger and giving the godly appearance. Also, Snyder was the first to introduce a suit that doesn't has the underwear over the pants!

When I heard they were doing a Superman show, I worried whether they would be able to pull it off with the scale story environments and effects they'd need on a Berlanti budget for network tv. Well, this is how you do that. Soaring flight sequences, battles that take place over miles or thousands of miles of geography, huge feats of strength, all very well cared for by the VFX team and turned in on budget. I think that in itself is an amazing feat.
The production team must be putting a lot of passion into this to make it look so good or they got a big budget. Because for a CW superhero show, this is really good CGI
Not dissing Henry Cavill because I enjoy some of his scenes as Superman, but Tyler makes me LIKE Superman. I’ve never cared for him before, but after watching this clip and other CW stuff with him in it, I genuinely enjoy this version. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾

I guess I would have to say that my only issue with this was the Fortress. After Crisis, Oliver made it so that Clark, and Kara were now part of the same Earth as the Flash... From Earth 1, to Earth Prime. Since Clark and Kara were already part of the same Earth before Crisis, it's fair to point out that they share the Fortress. So, why does the Fortress look so shitty on Superman, and on Supergirl, the Fortress looks way better, AND very different. I would think that anything that happens/affects the Fortress on one show, would also affect or be visible in another, since they're on the same Earth and share the same Fortress of Solitude. THAT, is my only issue.
Cap the fortress of solitude in S and L is way better than the one on Supergirl

Red solar radiation makes him the equivalent of a regular human, it doesn't just leave him with his powers granted it's doesn't happen instantly..

@@dannyphantom3090 Exactly, Superman and all the other kryptonians are basically solar batteries with yellow solar radiation giving the their standard powers, blue solar radiation making them more powerful than they'd ever be under a yellow sun and red solar radiation gradually zapping their powers.
How I understand it is that the red sunlight doesn't actually do anything to him & that's the whole point, while he isn't hurt by it he doesn't absorb it either so the longer he is exposed the more his yellow aborbed sunlight will be used up with no recharging taking place so he will eventually be fully drained.

Superman isn't making the water colder, because that violates the conservation of energy and thermodynamics (you can't add cold, you can only introduce something with less heat). The only feasible way that his superbreath could be that cold in our atmosphere if it's also under a lot of pressure (kryptonian lungs would be the same size, and yet he breathes in more air.) Which means that the pressure that is in the given area that is cold will soon redistribute. Heat will enter back into the area, warm and cold fronts will combine and climate change will not improve with with the pressure fluctuations. Superman would have little to no effect on on reversing climate change, he may even make it worse
