Egg check days are definitely a highlight. Seeing the veins and chick movement is like a ultrasound at home. Sorry the auction eggs with stunning colors didn't grow.
Hi ladies! I tried 1 dozen refrigerated eggs from my butcher. 1 hatched Christmas Eve! I think it is a hen, but cannot tell. Will be black with white specs. Possibly a Plymouth barred. Brown egg and black/yellow chick. He/she is so friendly and calls back to me when I call it's name ... Peep!
Do the chicks that hatch from refrigerated eggs develop slower than those that were not?

Beginning life---okay so I do prefer HUMAN BABIES, but it is so beautiful to see the growing of a chick in the egg. Seeing the movement is so special. The miracle of GOD'S creation. Sad how people will try to scam others just for the stinking dollar, but a great lesson learned. I sure hope Romeo's hatch out and are healthy.

Loved this video! I've heard about how you candle eggs, but it's the first time I've seen it. That was really interesting. The baby chicks were so cute at the end. First time watching you very interesting I always check the chicks with a needle and tread when it's a Rooster the needle goes straight and a hen it turns around 😂 wish I could get some Polish eggs out here in Mexico to thanks for sharing

I can't believe you got so few eggs! We have english Orpingtons, Australorps, Brahmas and brahma/jerseygiant, Silkies, Polish, Ayam cemani, Porcelain d'uccle, and Americauna. We sell our hatching eggs and guarantee at least a 50% hatch rate. So far those who have gotten our eggs have come back for more saying getting great hatch rate. If I was closer we would get with you because we have 170 eggs right now!!

Are you familiar with the Walker Farm Family? They always have roosters to sell or find other homes for. They also have chickens to offer from time to time. Cassie is a chicken conisoer. Also Grandpa Doss often has roosters 🐓 he needs homes for. I love the way that new hen follows you like a puppy dog - hilarious! Can easily see why you wanted her. She's a keeper eggs or no eggs 😊😊l❤❤.

When i hatched eggs, i used the wings to see if it was a female or a male, and when they grew up, i was right. i had 1 male and 5 ladies

Not enough oyster shell , Hens eat oyster shell or they can eat other egg shells that people eat eggs and instead of througing them out dry them out and and grind them into small pieces and let your hen’s eat them and their eggs will have a thicker shell they will not be poris.

I know the old chicken raisers could go through a bunch of chicks very fast sexing them so it had to be as easy as the holding them by their feet. I bet that’s true! Makes sense!

Low calcium usually for thin eggs. Sometimes just a new hen. I don’t think the chicks will be of good quality or will make it. It’s a hit and miss.

Just found you off of the Eddys Family farms video with Stephanie hey did you all see the video with the cat with the raw egg and they said that a cat's natural instinct will protect the egg? Well BS, I carried an egg in yesterday that was in my pocket laid it on the washing machine while I changed clothes my cat walks over there Pat's it rolls it right off onto the floor and it broke 😒 1:00

Wish i had someone close to me that loves to hatch eggs . My hens don't seem to get broody . Im planning to increase my flock with a variety of colored egg layers . Wish me luck ive never bought chicks and broodered them before. All my babies were from silkies and the mommas took care of them . Wish i had a silkie hen . Those girls will try to hatch a golf ball .

Temperature in ur incubator can't remember if it's lower temp for girls or higher and they say pointed eggs are boys round are girls but idk for sure lol

Put the temperature up 38c I used to do that with my quail and chickens eggs all the time and I always ended up with more hen then cocks 😊
