    You basically found an error in the tactics of germany's most elite military unit and fixed it by using simple principles everyone can learn.

In civil scenarios, they may even be the better choice because you don't have to worry about ricochets and wall penetration. Especially when you have multiple parties living in a house.

      You are meant to man a militia army so the government cannot abuse the military for self enriching purposes nor use it to oppress parts of the population. Switzerland has a militia army, is anal about rules and regulations (because they are Swiss and Swiss consider Germans unruly and undisciplined) and has that army fully integrated into society. I see the US has failed itself on both fronts by convincing people bearing arms is a right of society, not a duty to society.

    • @thepewplace1370
      @thepewplace1370 Před 5 lety +4

      @@mangalores-x_x This is utterly misunderstanding the intent and the language used. The Founders absolutely and unequivocally intended for the militia to be armed with the same weapons as a state force. They also intended it to be the entire male population, or the entire population. The training is the duty of the private citizen, as they wanted this to be decentralized from government control. These facts have been affirmed again and again.
      If you are a man in the US, you are a militia man. It is your duty to have arms and be proficient in their use, however the right to keep and bear arms is more basic than this: the 2A is a restriction on government, not society. This offers simultaneous defense against foreign invaders and defense against tyranny by having a widespread, decentralized armed society not under the yoke of the state.
      Let us in the US worry about our laws, you worry about yours.

    I've learn so much watching theses video. I just followed Project Gecko too for more knowledge. As a civilian its so great to have an expert like this making easy to absorb this information. You can practice in your home with dry fire and learn the movements. This all becomes muscle memory.

      Move and return fire. Obtain fire superiority. Direct the casualty to shoot or move to cover and begin self aid. When fire superiority is achieved, the casualty can be assisted by other team members.

      I mean, im a civilian but I can tell you with confidence that combat sports like airsoft and real combat are very different. you gotta remember that the reason this training exists is because people die for not having the knowledge, and thats a thing I have no experience of and really hope never to have to deal with.

  • @LichtMaschinenGewehr
    @LichtMaschinenGewehr Před 5 lety

    Excellent video, and very informative. I can't say I agree with every last thing, but for sure I understand and respect your logic and how it informs your decisions. Also, your focus on single/pair/small team tactics is very helpful.
    I (and I think other viewers) would highly appreciate a video from you specifically on approaching a building/structure, there don't seem to be any videos on CZcams about this, and I'm sure there are ways to improve on the traditional techniques.
    Also, from my experience in force on force scenarios there is a significant risk when moving along a tubular space, such as a hallway, for the enemy to inflict serious casualties when blindfiring from around corners/doorways. Most force on force training seems to forbid this tactic for whatever reason, but it is commonly used by our enemies overseas, especially given their lack of training/experience. Would you mind sharing your thoughts on how to counter this?
    Thanks again, me and my team hope to look more into limited penetration to expand our options in cqb situations.

    These videos are gold! One thing I'm not super confortable with though, and maybe someone can explain it to me, is having my gun pointing down during clearing the door threshold. I understand why you do it (to avoid revealing your barrel), but I'd be tempted instead to take a step back from the door and having my gun up during the whole drill.

      Information is always a bit of a double edged sword in that way. It's how the information gets used that will make the difference. Training more efficiently and harder than the enemy is just as important as fighting more efficiently and harder than the enemy. Eventually all combat information becomes outdated and there will be a new processes because the old process got countered enough times. Combat is always evolving beyond just the evolution of technology.
