You remember little things like the temperature of the room, the lighting, the time of day, and the broader events that took place, since those were what rooted the tiny memories. You can’t usually recall general information that occurred simultaneously, such as what you were wearing, what exact words were said, or when things started or stopped. You may even forget how the event really ended, because the whole idea of something being traumatic means your nervous system never experienced a true resolution. Yes, she has a weird cry face sometimes, so does Kim Kardashian. It doesn’t make the emotion behind it any less real.

Also Heard: Going into specific details that aren’t even related to the questions she was asked.

it’s also really interesting to hear her say “I think he was…” rather than say “he did”. You can’t always prove what someone is thinking, which makes it a lot harder to argue with. But realistically, if you get hit and don’t black out from it, you know you’ve been hit, even if your brain doesn’t process it in that moment. Most women I’ve met who’ve been through this remember these specific traumatic events very vividly because they’re *traumatic* . Amber is disrespecting every real victim, including Johnny

I saw Gone Girl. The lead actress injured herself with the bottle thingy and killed a man who supposedly did the bottle to her; and "escaped" from this man whom she killed in order to return to her husband. She wanted her husband to "stay" with her & not leave/divorce her by making herself a victim of a sexual abuser.

Perjury charges are rare in libel cases. Everybody knows she's lying, but proving it beyond a shadow of a doubt is virtually impossible. This is a him vs her case, and not a criminal trial.

I hope they explained to the jury what histrionic personality disorder is. Because it’s basically NPD with a few minor differences. Because it makes everything make sense. Some people with bpd can be awful, most aren’t. I have bpd lol but I have quiet bpd meaning I don’t lash out or get angry with people are fight with people, but I internalize it an get angry when I’m alone at myself. But histrionics are fucked. They have very good social skills, and crave attention badly. Histrionics biggest symptom is attention seeking. But they use their social skills to manipulate others to make themselves the centre of attention. They’re very manipulative. They have an inappropriate amount of pride regarding their personality and looks, and since they see themselves as perfect any amount of criticism will be seen as a personal attack from them. A lot of the time they’ll fake a mental/ physical illness to garner sympathy (sound familiar? Ambers shitty “bruises” she did with nail polish?). They blame person failures and disappointments on others, they have a hard time taking accountability without shifting blame. HPD and NPD are almost the exact same; they’re both characterized by seeking attention and having an inflated sense of self, and one of the only differences are just the type of attention they require. People with NPD have a need to be admired and get positive attention that is in line with their inflated sense of self worth. They struggle with lack of attention or negative attention.
HPD on the other hand, seeks attention in general, no matter the type of attention. Be it negative or positive attention, as long as the attentions on them they thrive.

I can only watch this with my own personal experience. As a sexual abuse survivor, I can’t go into detail. I can’t tell strangers. I can’t imagine trying to tell a jury. Hell, it took me three years to tell my therapist the truth. I think about the abuse and I feel physically sick. I’m tense and uncomfortable. I cry. I get that big lump in my throat that hurts. But what Amber is showing is a complete 180 from how I’d react or how any victim I’ve seen has reacted. Strange to say the least.

They'd have to ask me to speak up multiple times I was so terrified. My lawyer stood between my abuser and I so I didn't have to see him when he, my lawyer, was asking questions. I kept my eyes on my abuser's lawyer or focused on the mic in front of me to keep me grounded. I didn't stare down the jury, I didn't make huge elaborate gestures or shrieks. I wanted to be as small as possible. I don't know what the fuck she's doing up there, but she was NOT abused. At least not to the extent she claims. I realize everyone responds to trauma differently, but watching her recount abuse makes my skin crawl.

With an accusation like that, you'd think there would be a medical record to back it up. Like, the kind of assault she's describing sounds like something you would definitely go see a dr for. If not to leave a paper trail of the assault, but at least to make sure your body isn't irreparably damaged.
If it's true, it's embarasisng to admit that it happened. Your husband abused you in a horrific way. Not everyone is keen to go off and talk about it. It's common to go into a state of shock and disbelief for months or years.
I’m not saying I believe her but assault is very hard for some people to report or ‘go to the doctor for’, so that’s not necessarily true.
@@caroljeeben7064 But what's peculiar is that she was so keen to gather all sorts of other evidence (recordings of them arguing, pics of destroyed property, pics of her face "bruised" etc.), yet NOT ONCE did she go to the hospital for a rape kit? And she did tell her therapist and mother apparently (who is conveniently dead). But the therapist, for whatever reason, did not report to the authorities that her client's life or Depp's children were in danger from JD when she is required by law to do so. So many things just don't add up.
Edit: Just wanted to add that her choice of pics are also questionable. Bruising on the face is actually pretty easy to fake with makeup. But what about all the cuts from the glass? Or other kinds of wounds that are difficult to imitate with makeup? That's also very odd.

The thing that I find odd about her testimony is that most victims of assault usually try to not look weak. There is also the shame that accompanies the trauma, shame that makes a person want to hide away. Most people don't want to verbalize their violation to people they trust, let alone a courtroom while on camera.
Cause it didn't happen to her. She wants to be seen as a victim and this is her moment.

She apparently didn't even know whether the bottle was broken or not. She mentions 'some' bleeding. But no, no trip to the doctor. Only pics of fake marks on her face that nobody can examine in person. Then there's all that glass embedded in her feet, with so much bleeding she was slipping on the floor. Still, no medical help to get glass out. Dude, if I get a tiny piece of glass in my foot (that isn't even causing bleeding) I'm in agony with the lightest touch and spend hours with a tweezer to find it and dig it out. Her pics of blood on the floor didn't show evidence of blood smeared. She is so freaking stupid.

That's true and most people are, but I think the jury is going to be a much better judge, because from reading the comments it seems as if people just hate Amber and love Johnny. I understand that based on her personality and Johnnys. I just think the comments fit a certain narrative that probably isn't the most accurate. I think a jury that is looking at both sides without any emotion or predetermined decisions is going to look at the case much more accurately and make much better decisions than the typical person commenting on this case with emotion on You tube or anywhere else. Their is a reason they have some people on the jury, and some people making comments based on emotion in a chat room somwhere. Having said that I think Johnny deserves to win, and I hope he does. My point is is that Amber WOULD NOT get a fair trial at all if most of the world or You Tube was making the decisions, because theirs just so much non sense and hatred towards Amber without knowing all the facts, or even considering them at all. She can cut the theatrics. One of my friends was sexually tortured by her father as a child many of us were subpoenaed in court. I don’t think she realizes how real victims conduct themselves in court. Many of them are extremely composed on the stand and breakdown after. It’s so clear that this is all an act.
And they look down and not at the jury. Abuse victims are able to kinda disassociate while recounting their abuse. They say it almost stoically. They do wait to break down or don’t at all. It’s almost robotic when they repeat it

I’m a very empathetic sensitive person when someone cries I cry… I just feel cringy watching this, I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt you know there is 2 sides to every story but so far the evidence the testimonies I find her extremely hard to believe. I honestly feel bad for mr depp and his family this is so disgusting and damaging he may never recover from the slander this woman created. I have been trying to give her the benefit of the doubt too because it seems as if the narrative online is based on emotion and is about hating Amber and loving and agreeing with Johnny regardless of the situation and what's said. Having said that, I think Johnny went through much more hell than her by far, and deserves to win this trial without a doubt. It's obvious to me by reading the comments though that Amber would not even get close to a fair trial if the world or people on You Tube were making decisions, because people are making decisions based on emotion and who they like, and no one likes Amber, even before this. I think a jury that looks at everything and all the facts equally without any predetermined decisions about either person is going to make much better decisions about the case than people commenting. People are making unfair and ridiculous comments about Amber, and that's coming from someone who thinks Johnny deserves to win this and that Amber put him through severe hell. I personally am trying to give them both the benefit of the doubt in terms of looking at both of their situations equally without any predetermined decisions.

As an abused person, when my abuser came with their father for the last talk, I couldn’t look at them. My eyes wouldn’t go up no matter how much tried. I had to look down and leave the room immediately. My whole body said run! And I literally run to save my life and never looked back. Poor Johnny has to sit and hear this shit in addition to pushing down his own feelings that says - “RUN!”.
Sorry to hear that happened to you. Yeah, I noticed that Amber kept looking at Johnny throughout the entire trial for the past 4 weeks. People who experienced trauma like this would do the opposite of what Amber is doing.
This is immediately what I thought of. I was abused as well and when I testified all I could do was look at my lawyer or the defensive attorney. I could not look around at anybody. I didn’t look at the jury, my abuser, or anybody else. I was shaking. Now where near relaxed as she is giving this testimony.
