So since I’ve been watching you, I start at thrifting again, and now I can’t stop finding praying hands. There are two at my local Goodwill, and while nobody is buying them, they keep moving around. It makes me smile every time.

The funky milk pitcher from Italy... I believe the artists are two brothers if I'm not mistaken and I have two very pink and odd as heck bowls from them. Their pottery is defiantly right up your alley.

One of those get what you pay for places from the number of real quality stuff they had. I think the number of really nice things may have may also be a factor as in place probably has reputation for what they do stock.

It's amazing how societal changes impact art-all kinds of art! I never really paid attention to glass but seeing all different kinds and colors makes me wonder about the process! Great haul. Always grateful to be included.
Our local antique mall has been robbed of thousands of dollars of jewelry twice in the past year so I completely understand his concern!!! Once while they were closed and once while open, the guy broke the lock on a case, filled his pockets and walked out - got him on video but after the fact 😣

I don't go into Beaver Creek very often because they have the music so darn loud and the prices are high. You'll find cheaper prices at Antique Crossroads.

Happy holidays! Some gorgeous new treasures!!! Is the % off for cash or cheque only an American sale style? Why? Does store saving on transaction fees fuel this? Our store sale prices apply to the item, not how it's paid for here. Transaction fees are part of the cost of business to best serve the customers spending $. I can't remember the last time I wrote a cheque, it's been years.

Some of the stores here in Arkansas charge you fees and they get charged for debit cards. Most always ask cash or debit. Cash is better deal.

I'm not trying to be a Karen complainer, truly, but I find that I'm often having problems hearing you in your videos. I have the volume on my pc set to a comfortable level so that any other app or webpage with sound doesn't blast me out of the room if it plays in the background. While watching here on CZcams I also have an add extension/add on that allows me to boost volume for CZcams only. Even with that set to max volume it still sounds like you are speaking very quietly. It only happens when you are out hunting but it's fine when you are in the shop mostly. Have you ever considered getting a bluetooth ear piece with microphone? I'm thinking that would capture your voice much clearer and louder. Just a thought.
Same here, I'm constantly on the volume when she goes from talking to whispering. Up & down, up & down. 🤦♀️
Hi. Have you considered getting a set of Bluetooth ear buds? - I use them and have no problem hearing the vids.
I shouldn't need headphones. There is nothing wrong with my pc and no other loud sounds around me. It seems there is a difference between how the videos play/sound on a cell phone versus a desktop or PC. Clearly I am not the only person experiencing an issue.
It's sad that in this world you can't video jewelry and coins for fear of the wrong person seeing it and using it to their advantage.
Suggestion: when an owner gives you permission to film and then asks you not to film the jewelry & coins you should just honor it and not say anything about it on the video. By saying what you said, it was apparent that those easily disposable valuables were in the store. Be careful. I enjoy your videos very much watch them every night when I get home from work.
It's an antique mall/store. People, especially thieves, know it's there already by default. Her not mentioning it doesn't do a thing to change that.

I don't think I've ever been in an antique store that didn't have coins and jewelry--and I visit a lot of antique stores. I was simply pointing out the contrast between the interaction with the staff here versus the owner at Memory Lane in Taneytown--both asked me not to film coins/jewelry, but one yelled at me and made me cry.
To ease any anxiety, I am married to a law enforcement officer, & was one back in the 80’s & 90’s. The majority of criminals who commit burglaries are looking for items that are easily to sell on the street, on online sights like Offerup, Craig’s List & local Facebook groups or pawn. Quick money makers. A bunch of Antiques should be a big red flag for pawn shops, & online sites are monitored by police depts. They also get lists from Pawn Shops in their jurisdictions.
& the majority of criminals are not that bright to even consider antique stores. I’m not saying it doesn’t happen. It is just not common. They might be so stupid they would go after coins & then spend them, not knowing there was more worth than the face value.
