- I am attempting to earn the Platinum for the Open World Sonic Game; Sonic Frontiers.
Growing up, I could not get enough of Sonic The Hedgehog, enjoying everything from the games, cartoons, fan animations all the way to their anime adaptation but sadly, as i grew up i naturally drifted away. However, a recent open world installment of the game has caught my interest. To see if this game can restore my childhood love for the franchise, i'm going to complete EVERYTHING, there is to do and earn myself the Platinum trophy!

At times, Sonic would go off script to say something comedic, this is not the real voice of Sonic, just an imitation!
There is a DLC you can play called "The Final Horizon"
It is behind where you spawn in Ouranos Island and the DLC is basically a revamped final island and boss with new playable characters too.

The clips of you praising the characterization are a good example of what makes Sonic Frontiers so good - it's refreshing in both tone and gameplay wise. In the last decade, Sonic's been in a bit of a rut of nostalgia and memes. Everyone loved to hate Sonic, so Sega treated him as a joke too before anyone else could do it. Then the movies were released and people actually liked them unironically and that, combined with enough time having passed since Sonic 2006, gave Sega the confidence to try taking Sonic seriously again. If the response to Sonic Frontiers is anything to go by, I'd say it worked.
Honestly, i can see myself feeling exactly what you described. Since i left the series since i felt like it was more comedic, and the plots felt a little like fluff purely to sell a game.
im a little disappointed you didnt play the final horizon stuff, but this video is amazing as always
The goal of the video was the Platinum trophy, being as the DLC was not part of the trophy list, it would have added alot of padding. I will probably be playing it in my own time, or if this does well i can experience it in a different video!

Frontiers is such a Good and Bad starting off point for people. The Gameplay loop is very easy and simple to understand but there’s so many little things that inadvertently worsen the experience for those not already into the Sonic Series. Things like encouraging newcomers to play the terrible “Action Style” that makes Sonic so damn slow, having tons of Physics Options in the Menu without telling you or explaining what each does (some of which drastically make the game more fun like the Jump Deceleration Slider that lets you keep your momentum in the Air), and locking the Spindash behind S Ranking the 50 Time Challenges. Great Video btw, do you edit them yourself?

To record my audio i use OBS, messed around a lot with the settings to get exactly what i want.

Just wanted to come out and say theres a update called the final horizon and it changed the whole last island. Amy knuckles and tails are playable. And theres the rawest final fight ever.

Oh damn. I would not even try to platinum Sonic Frontiers. I mean any Open World game the platinum not worth it. But Sonic Frontier is mainly running around trying to do something until you finally do a mission that opens a grinding rail. I’m not saying Sonic Frontier is bad but on a regular play through it’s is miserable
I think i was just in awe of fast i can lol, it actually did not feel like a grind at all, when you unlock top speed you can get all the side missions done in an afternoon!

Yea, i did miss it. It was mainly do to the fact the main objective was to platinum the game, and they didn't add any new trophies for the added content.
