M sorry but rock has always been an integral part of Nepali music since ages yes they were good and did contribute, but the actual pioneers ..that actually laid the foundations start way back from the times of Sanjeev Pradhan,Sanjay Shrestha,Nima Rumba,Shiram the move,Priyesi the move,etc that contributed to the mainstream that later bands like Karma followed upon, but again the underground or the root genre was/is forever sustained by the actual rock bands such as Cobweb,Robin n looza, Mukti n Revival,1974 A.d(probably around the same era with Karma band)X Mantra ...and many MANY more..
SO yes they have contributed, but not pioneers,
