I love Outlook. It’s interesting to see you do this. I do this also, I color code my events, red for tasks and I put the word task in front of the task. I haven’t managed to use the actual task function in Outlook as effectively as this method. I also put prep times for tasks and meetings during the day as you do, and color code them so I can see at a glance what is a meeting (or I will miss it😮) and what is prep (aqua for me). I do use OneNote, you can create meeting notes from the event (send to OneNote I think it is, I’m not looking at my calendar right now) and take notes in there ahead of time, and Outlook will “find” that note when you click on send to OneNote again. This works for me because I don’t share my OneNote meeting notes with anybody else.
omg thanks for sharing!! 1) colour coding is such a great idea, literally never thought to do this in outlook!! and 2) whaaaat is this send to one note feature - omg this sounds lifechanging if they are connected! I'm going to look this up right now thank you so much!
Oh this is so convenient! I might try to start to use my Outlook Calendar in a similar way as you do / to get an overview of stuff digitally in this way. 😊

Super helpful 😊 , I hadn’t thought of using the “free” mode like this before, right within a particular time block. I do use the full day option with deadlines already, it’s great. I have been using a separate calendar for deadlines etc and some notes or task reminders, but using the free mode on my regular calendar within the timeblocks like you do could eliminate the need for a separate calendar.
