I just started painting just recently. I have watched several tutorials and videos. You are by far my favorite. You share so much and it has helped me, lots. I have so much to learn. Thanks so much Clive. I love you.
We discovered your tutorial while we were on holiday in Dorset we were mesmerised by your art work. We spent the next couple of days painting on a campsite and we were completely chilled and relaxed, both me and my hubby suffer with our mental health. So thank you for being there.
Hay Clive I know you painted that one in memory of your mum just wanted to know what you will do with it now will it hang in a special place some were ? Looks real good you did a great job of the shadows on path . ya though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death thy rod and staff they comfort me .psalm 23 .
It will, a little. Compare Ultramarine Blue in a clear tube of cheap paint with one that is a little more expensive. The cheap stuff will seem brighter and slightly more pastel.
Oils have some specific requirements that make them impractical for some people. I work in acrylics because I want the rapid drying time due to painting outside a studio setting. Oil paintings are harder to transport, as the paint stays wet for much longer. I'm also poor, and acrylics are cheap.
love your tips, ty, also the one about using the alcohol to break down acrylic paint I get on my clothes

Excellent tips! How do you feel about using propylene glycol to extend paint drying times?
Thank you Clive!
Thank you Mr. Clive for this one 👌
Thanks Clive !
Hi, wonderful watching as always. What will happen to the pigmentation, etc if you mix a cheaper paint with a more expensive one of the same colour?
Yes, the serious art forger begins with an entirely different type of medium than the piece they're attempting to fake was executed with.
Doesn't the chalk change the color value when used?
Does it matter the color chalk you use? Also would a light chalk affect the color of a darker pigment?
It will, a little. Compare Ultramarine Blue in a clear tube of cheap paint with one that is a little more expensive. The cheap stuff will seem brighter and slightly more pastel.
hi clive whats the best masking tape .that wont damage my canvas . had a spot of bother
Hi Clive looks like a great tip but why not just use oil paint ?
As I mentioned in the start acrylic is used a lot in forgeries especially house paint as it’s cheep and if used correctly replicates oil paint

Do you ever use retarder or a slow drying medium to increase your blending time? Enjoyed the chalk tip. Good stuff.
Yes I do I will explain on another Friday tip video
@@CLIVE5ART I look forward to it. All the best Clive!
Thanks for the video!
Why don't you just use oil paints this seems to be alot of trouble.
He addresses this starting at about the 5 minute mark
