Honestly, "Obsessed By Cruelty" should have been rerecorded as a whole and not "In The SIgn of Evil". "ITSOE" was perfect the way it was even though I do like the rerecorded tracks. As much as I love the original "Obsessed by Cruelty", that albums timing is all over the place. A "so bad, it's good" production charm. I wonder what that record would have sounded like with "Persecution Mania" production values...just a tad rawer.

You've got to respect a band who've been thrashing away for as long as I've been listening to Metal, and that's a LONG time. Now into their fifth decade, (yep FIFTH) I can tell you that they sound like how they did back then. And why not? Nothing wrong with a little classic Thrash - haha it made me feel young again. Anyway this is a 1986 tune resurrected. So basically if you like no-frills Classic Thrash, you'll like this. Good honest horns-high heads-down fun.

Its a great remake of the song, but the best part (the ending solo and riff) is slower than the Steamhammer version which is a bit disappointing, but I can easily overlook that since After the Dulge is probably my all time favorite sodom song. Obsessed by cruelty is their best record in my opinion.
