- Although most people wouldn't associate James Bond with hats in the same way that they would with, say, Indiana Jones, 007 is definitely a hat man. He wore the fedora in the first seven gun barrel sequences. Going back in the early sixties James Bond liked throwing his fedora onto the hat stand. It's a tradition that stayed with the series into the early eighties even though Roger Moore was never seen wearing a fedora. Even Daniel Craig does it once.

Looking at them all like that, I feel like Lazenby actually did the best hat throw, there's a speed and aggression to it that's actually pretty impressive and feels in line with the idea of Bond's practicing that skill of being able to instantly walk into a room and hit his target dead on. While the others have a more hesitant 'wait for it, wait for it, how's that!" quality like your dad trying to show off.
For honorable mentions, I would add Bond expertly dropping the nametag in a bin in No Time to Die, which is a clear homage.

Shockingly after 30 years we see a hat throw in spectre.... Even after spectre no hat throws seen... It should be regular because it will keep the image of bond up to standard
