@@coyotetales33 Its an 800hp gt r. you have to be, maybe in ur small 170hp gti u can keep full throttle but not in a car with 4x hp and less weight hahah

Ha ha, exactly my observation. @ 6:50 the guy goes from a brisk demo-lap pace to borderline competition level concentration. It couldn’t be because that Porsche out-braked you and passed at Eschbach for all the people at Brünnchen to see, could it? For my money this is the purest form of racing: a jerk in a Porsche snakes you on the inside and makes you eat your three-pointed star. Visceral reaction: “I’ll show that guy…” And the race is on! This is how it worked in my youth (1970s) and has probably always worked - back to Stanley Steamer times. Except I was one of those idiot kids who did this sort of thing on public roads. Not recommended, kids of today.
Just when I thought there can't be anything aside from a full race car that could live with this on the day, the Porsche swoops by and disappears into the sunset!

This AMG was not driven fast here at all, recent m4 (half yellow black) featured on the channel had much more serious corner speeds.

Even after all these years, I’m still amazed by how effortlessly Misha manages to switch languages like that. And I was raised in three languages myself but I only master two. Massive props for speaking like 4 (or 5+) languages that well!
He thought he was the big dog until 6:54, his world fell apart instantly when the Porsche was pulling away.
I don’t if he wasn’t pushing his car or not capable of more thn that but i think that car is definitely more capable.
Different tyres etc and he wasn’t pushing that hard.
Yeah, I think too the car is much more capable than shown here... I don't know the tires of both cars and how much they were on the limit...

@@stephenpage-murray7226 he is runnin on michelin cup r tyres. there are no better street legal options for that car. because of 19/20 inch wheels there is no slick option either.
Stunning green beast but that black Porsche, damn like a bullet!
Not sure if I'm seeing it right from the cameras, but the car looked a little jerky going down into and accelerating from 3rd.. whereas the pick up from the other gears looked a little smoother. It also looked like he took the corners quite conservatively for a car of this level. The GT3 RS proved that less power might be more viable on the track with less mass. Great video!
Interesting. A ton of downforce, but in some mid speed corners he was 20-30km/h slower than other similar cars.
He obviously wasn't pushing...

How about that GT3 at 6:53... just goes to show more power will only get you so far, even at the `ring.

True, though there is also a difference between someone pushing it as far as they comfortably can and someone who does it for a living. Add to that that they probably want to make the parts last a little longer to save on costs and you inevitably end up driving slightly slower than some of the fastest people on the track.
I think the Porsche has a simple weight distribution advantage.

This Mercedes came to Grobnik a few months ago and tried to break the track record (991.1 GT3 RS MR). In the end, everything was left to try. It seems that not everything is in 800 hp.
Porche is probably like 200kgs lighter than this and on a small track like grobnik being light and nimble probably pays off

Ja, da hat er wohl noch einige Pferde im Stall gelassen und die riesige Aero noch nicht mal annähernd genutzt, wenn ich mir die einzelnen Geschwindigkeiten mal anschaue😅. 185 im Schwedenkreuz, 225 in der Fuchsröhre; 215 im Kesselchen. Kein Wunder das der Porsche da mal locker dran vorbeifährt. Oftmals sitzt der Schwachpunkt halt vorne links.
Ansonsten nicht schlecht für einen Wagen mit Umbauten im Wert eines Kleinwagens ❤

Youve had a few various AMG GTs now on the channel and I dont know whether it just appears so but they seem so clean and "easy" to control and drive predictably. Amazing amazing balance and suspension configurations. And then the perfect engines/trans. and honestly it looks like im watching a video game. If you feel like answering, are they truly as manageable and predictable to drive and coupled seamlessly with the AMG engines ?

Look like the owner didn’t want to drive the car at the limit - he did touch after the black Porsche Gt3 passed but it rotated - looks like the aero kit needs some work - to balance out the downforce. The car was running slower than a stock GT3 (RS, I am not sure)
The guy has everything turned off and a passengers life in the car, he’s not running 10/10ths
What a weapon. Don't get me wrong I love the onboards and will never get tired of them but some snowy nurburg content would be welcomed alongside.

This car (or one like it) set a time of 6: 43. about 2 or 3 years ago. The AMG GTR could go up against the PORSCHE any day.

Interesting that he decided not to do a fast lap this day. It reminds me on the bikepark with my mtb. There are days you feel really good and you can push it hard. Sometimes you don't get the flow and you struggle. Better not take a too high risk at these days.

LOVE these cars, the sound and handling are amazing. Everyone jumps to the GT3 and GT3 RS cars but this such an amazing platform.

@@gruppegee Its indeed a amazing platform the gtr. The reason why everyone jumps to gt3 or gt3rs, is in the video.
@@quintenquet People aren't paying attention... First they're assuming passing someone means the car is faster. Versus simply acknowledging it's a great platform. Moreover it's a fun run vs the RS on slicks and balls out.
