Are you reeling backwards on purpose?
Yes, while the sharks were around there was no time to waste flipping the reel back over. Reeling that way helps lessen the strain on my arthritis so I can sit out there all day lol. Also found it keeps the line from rubbing on the pier! Tight lines buddy!

Oh ya it was a good one! That was a black drum carcass. Grabbed it thinking it was a bag full of ribbon fish I saved for bait lol.

Please turn the rod over and use it the right way it's driving me crazy watching you fish with it upside down
Had some bad arthritis at the time and this helped with that. It also kept the line from getting caught in splinters on the planks. If you think that's how I use a reel then you must be new here.
Although its a nice vid.... I cant take you guys serious with the way you are holding the rod and reel upside down and using it backasswards. "tell me you dont fish without telling me you dont fish"
Oh because you see me holding all my rods like that? That's just how I jig for macks all day without getting tired... Put all the weight on the planks plus you don't end up banging up your reel.
