    Bought the blade 5 , 7 months ago and it has held up the best of any board i have owned. I think its a well known fact that Winmau make the best boards. Every pub, club or local tournaments use the blade 5 as the boards. For around £30 - £35 (not dual core ) the value for money is nothing short of excellent.

    I have one of the Blade 5 dual core boards with the roto loc; absolutely love it. I rotate my board every week or so. I've had the board for over a year and it still looks almost new. When I need a replacement I'll definitely buy this again.

    Thanks for putting this up. Nice to hear positive reports from a knowledgeable and frequent user of the product. And your first hand experience with other boards makes it all the more reliable. The reviews on places like Amazon are either too light on details, talk more about the seller than the product, or end up being useless one word reviews like “great”.
    Good advice about care and rotation as well. Another comment suggested a video about how to rotate, which might be a bit short, but if you put together a list of five or so tips and tricks for care and maintenance of your darting equipment...........😉

    Love my Blade 5 DC. It's a year old next month. I practice no less than 6 hours a week and on Friday evenings (until recently) I have a friend or two over and we play for an additional 5 or 6 hours. I rotate my board on every Friday when thet get here so that we have a "fresh" 20 segment. One of my buddies just commented on my board last month on how it still looks great. As far as bounce out, I never really had an issue when I was playing with 22+gr darts. However, for the last 3 months or so, I've been playing with 14.5gr darts and only get an occasional bounce out. I told my wife that when it comes time to replace it, it will be replaced with the same thing. Thanks for the update. Hopefully anyone looking for a new board will save their coin and just buy a Blade 5 out of the gate. Stay safe and shoot straight.

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  Před 4 lety

      I'm curious, do the new 14.5g darts have sharp points? I know that a lot of new darts that I review with sharp points are more prone to bounce outs.

    • @BrandonSmith-sq9wg
      @BrandonSmith-sq9wg Před 4 lety

      @@WorldwideDarts I personally dont think they are overly sharp. The points are Target conversion points paired on Unicorn Golden Heros. I have other Target darts and just done a comparison. Very similar. That being said, the conversion points are only 25 or 26mm. If you can suggest a point or different length that would help, I'm all ears.

    Great review for the audience and wish I saw this before my recent purchase of the Viper Razorback board. I went and played on the Blade5 board very recent and it was outstanding in terms of self-healing. Every dart I pulled did not leave a hole. The blade5 looked new after every throw.
    I cannot say that about the Razorback board but I have to say I’m pleased with the purchase for the cost. My final conclusion is go with the Blade5 but really no issues on a less expensive board with close the performance.
    This review was very helpful.

    I've commented this before, that rough spot in the 2 segment looks like the place where they spot weld the ends together to make the circle. They grind it down as best they can, but don't think it's a defect.

    New to the sport. Been playing 8 months solid...every day. Learned on a nodor wire board. Have hit 4 180's thus far. The bounce outs were ridiculous...it's a long way to the floor picking up darts that almost impale your foot. Got a Blade 5 1 month ago and simply love the thing. Not one bounce out. Never gets out of adjustment due to the roto lock!
    At the moment I'm averaging low to mid fifties most days playing 501 and double percentages continue to climb. Some days into the thirty percent range and the board has played a huge part due to the larger segments and zero bounce outs.

I got the new blade5 duel core same time as you and it's just fantastic and much prefer the new logos. Only issue I have is the bent wire on number 2 just like yours haha no a issue really just bugs my OCD when it catches my eye.

      @@WorldwideDarts basically rotate your board 3 black/red segments. If you only rotate it by one, your 20 becomes the 18 and the 17 becomes the 19 (still main segments you use) so your board has less time to recover. If you rotate by 2, you'll only use up halve your board because you can only make 5 rotations before the original 20 is back on top.
      Long story short: rotating your board 3 segments is the way to go

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  Před 4 lety

      I rotate to the left though. Counter clock wise. I'm playing mostly 501 as well so it's not like the other segments are taking a pounding. As long as all segments remain looking the same for the life of the board then that would be the goal 👍

      @danny180g Před 4 lety +1

    about the defect i also have it and actually suspected its part of the manufactoring process a wild guess would be that its sort of shapes like > that and the cutout is falls over it so pressure holds it in place or something, wich would probably mean u want some error margin for it to not stick outt o much(since its better to have it sit shallow if u ask me) anw just a guess im not a expert by any means but i doubt its a defect seeing how many people have this ( i have it on btoht my dual core and my old blade 5)

      Yeah, great board for sure. As good as the Blade 5. The Rotolock swings this board over the top for me though

    how much does it cost to shipped to USA.. for me it cost way more than the dartboard itself. 🙄

    • @WorldwideDarts

      Who said anything about buying boards overseas? I have to buy my boards right here in the USA as shipping a large, heavy item from the UK costs quite a bit. But to give you some real world numbers....
      A Blade 5 Dual Core at Amazon USA is $85. With tax it costs $92.34 shipped. The same exact board from the UK is $49 plus $43 shipping. The same $92usd. Where do you get your boards from?

      I live in Macau and order my darts accessories from dartscorner but little heavy items shipping charge is way too much. I use cavalier dartboard from China, which are just ok. 5months and wires almost out, bullseye is ruined. poor me 😣. I have used unicorn once that too didn't last long..

    1yo board and have ZERO bounce out as well! Great board to have, minus the price.

    Hey WWD, I'm ready for my next board. My current board is the blade 5. (Not the dual core)
    I'm toying with the idea of the gladiator 3+ or the blade 5 dual core or even the nodor supamatch 3!
    Please help me! I need some help. I don't want to just listen to the winmau religious or unicorn religious fans, I want an honest opinion or review unbiased.
    HELP!

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  Před 3 lety +1

      Well Winmau and Nodor are the same exact company. Nodor happens to own Winmau and Red Dragon so the boards are going to be pretty much identical with the exception of different logos used. I would highly recommend you try out the G3 👍🏻

    • @sibomb3423
      @sibomb3423 Před 3 lety

      Fantastic, that's what I wanted to hear. So give the g3+ a go rather than the dual core blade 5?

    • @WorldwideDarts
      @WorldwideDarts  Před 3 lety +1

      @@sibomb3423 Yeah, I think it would be good to switch things up a bit. Just make sure to rotate the hell out of it... especially when it's new. The goal is to make sure all the segments look the same for the entire life of the board. Long story short, if you have a segment that looks worse than the others... that means you're not rotating enough
