What is LOVE according to the Bible?

Is love real? What is love?
“This is real love-not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭4‬:‭10‬ ‭
John 3:16
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.
John 13:34-35. A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another.
John 15:13
Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends.
1 John 4:7-8
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love.
I believe love is sacrifice. Jesus showed us the greatest example of love when He stepped down from heaven to die for OUR sins!
To know Jesus is to know love, and once we understand what Jesus did for us, we can also see others through the lens of love. True christlike love.
This is the kind of love that doesn’t just love our friends and family. This is the kind of love that goes beyond any reasoning and measure. This is the love that reaches even those we consider to be enemies.
Luke 6:35
True love is powerful and it has the power to change outcomes. Love changes the way we think, act and react in different situations. To show true christian love will make the world think we’re foolish, but in the end, only LOVE wins.
