    Good video.
    I may have met you before.
    I'm from Etowah Tennessee.
    I've considered building a small processing shop here in McMinn County.
    I've subscribed to your channel.
    Keep up the videos.

      I would say our paths has crossed before. I'm just up the road in Loudon. The shed has came along ways from this video and continues to get bigger. There is multiple videos on in out the channel and the progress of it over the years. Plus I will be releasing a new video in July or August on it.
      I highly recommend a coolbot if you decide to build your own cooler. They are more cost efficient and extremely reliable.
      Keep me posted on your shed. Also thanks for subscribing and supporting my channel.

    My friend's dad was a butcher and he did the same: deboned them as they hung. He was so darn good. I watched him do one and have it ready to wrap in 30-35 minutes. He said he was a little off on his speed lol

    • @pineylife
      @pineylife  Před 2 lety +1

      To me its the best may to do it. I have left bone in and always hated the bone dust or bone particles when eating it. That's exactly why I do it this way.... I know a guy that packs his out with no bone in them. He said sure its easier to handle when quartering but when you debone it in the field its less work processing it later and your not carrying bone weight... Sounds like me and you friends dad would get along good. Lol. Thanks for watching and good luck this season.

      We have a lot in that shed and with 5 people working it can get snug but we are able to get a lot of processing done.

      Sounds like your looking forward to deer season too. Lol. This video and several other deer related videos has started getting more views since the last week of June. Man I can’t wait till deer season gets here. I’m hoping to be expanding the deer shed another 20 feet in the next month. So be watching for those videos.

    I'd be interested in seeing the shed you started with so I could have an idea of what a beginner setup would look like.

    • @pineylife
      @pineylife  Před 3 lety

      I Actually have it full of stuff at the moment since i quit using it. It is mainly a well insulated storage shed now..lol. The dimensions are 10x10 and inside height was 8ft. it only has 0ne window for the air conditioner and the entry door. I insulated the walls and ceiling with regular insulation and then someone had give me a bunch of 4x8 insulation board sheets so i lined the inside with that also. Then i put a laundry tub in with a water hose hook up and that how we did our deer. everything went into coolers and was aged that way. I will try and do a video om the old shed when i get it cleaned out this summer. Please let me know if you need anymore info on the shed or questions about how we started. Thanks for watching.

      beginner setups is what I still use, clean all the meat off the deer just like Jamie does then ice chest for 4 to 5 days draining all the blood off and I have the $30 dehydrator $50 grinder and $30 slicer $50 seal-a-meal :) I processed a deer one time and they didn't do it like I wanted it and have processed mine own ever since! I always hear how hard it is to clean your own deer after you do it enough you can have one skinned and in the ice chest in about 20min.

    • @pineylife
      @pineylife  Před rokem

      To be honest I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that loves to deer hunt. LOL. I actually don't mind doing it but when the rut hits here The shop would fill up so fast I would work all day on peoples deer. Its hard to be stuck in that building watching all these people bringing in deer. That's the main reason I chose to do just my family deer.

    • @pineylife
      @pineylife  Před rokem

      This season we done 29 and after looking at the book from the last couple of years we average around 35. Now when I was doing it for the public in 2019 I processed over 150

    What kind of skinning knives are in the background?

    • @pineylife
      @pineylife  Před 2 lety +2

      Sometimes we use outdoor edge skinning knives or a Gerber skinner for caping a deer head. But most of the time we use a rapala boning knife. They are super flexible and easy to sharpen.
