Alternative builds/mods are my favourite Lego genre. Take an existing design and iron out the flaws, make it more realistic or just customise it to your needs. Then if you're not happy, keep changing it and boom! You've created your own MOC.
As i said, I only used pieces from the UCS Gunship EXCEPT the cockpits: two 6254265 and four 6266304, in case you want to get them. Also, I got a new camera and I did a couple of mistakes, that's why the audio may be weird sometimes and why the ending looks slowed down (but it looks good with that music, so I uploaded it anyway).

Is it minifigure scale?
Now here’s a great idea for Lego they can build one (and put the correct pilot in the set)
I know how ya feel, the clone pilot desperately deserves it's accurate helmet design from the movies and the clone wars besides just reusing the phase one helmet with the fin and pilot design
If they put a pilot it should be 2 because it should be an automatic thing it should require
Hopefully LEGO will make another play-scale Republic Gunship next year for the 20th anniversary of AOTC.

I sadly don’t see it happening because we already have the UCS one out and lego’s hesitance to make any set from this movie.
@@spongboing2425 if only it were possible, sadly though legos probably not going to release another lego gunship for a while, and if they did it would exlude one of either of those figures 😥
I'm not a large-scale fan so this is very much appreciated. I hope they make one in the cheap-scale soon.
Yeah that'd be great, we need more affordable versions of sets that are usually really expensive. I really want them to make the gunship, AT-TE and Jango's Slave 1 in that scale

in fairness, you probably could actually get the UCS gunship for cheaper than a play scale gunship these days

I love the idea of making MOCs from the pieces of its existing set. Maybe you could make a moc like that for the Iron Monger from set 76190 in the scale of the hulkbuster from set 76031! That would be amazing
I just built this whole ship step by step and I just got to say it is so much better than the actual UCS set because not only is it more fun to play with, it actually fits on my shelve and looks good, Keeping that in thought you should make a video on what to build with the remainder of the pieces, I would love for you to make something clone wars to go with the set.

Fits the piece constraint quite well although I am hoping for an actual play scale gunship soon!

So cool!!! We should have gotten this instead of the oversized UCS one. Hopefully they do a minifig scale one like this soon or perhaps a smaller scale one in a similar scale to the recent Slave I, X-Wing, etc that would be much more affordable.

Always preferred playscale and 1 to 1 models over micro builds or these oversized UCS ones, ngl.
There's always something more satisfying to me about a vehicle or mech that has the same amount of detail, but it also fits and scales well with Minifigures.

Amazing MOC, especially considering the piece restraints! Could you please make a Dropship as well? The 2013 AT-TE from Lego never got a Dropship to go along with it unlike the 2008 AT-TE. I feel like that could be even more popular than your Gunship!

I would love to see this video expanded on with a clone wars gunship mod for the sealing doors instead of the laser turrets personally! Not sure if that’s possible but I love the clone wars and wish I could turn my UCS gunship into a clone wars variant.

Currently building this bad boy but I’m starting to notice I’m going to have a huge amount of pieces left over so I have been slowly modifying your moc by filling in the inside gaps. Also might redesign the entire cockpit with a few extra pieces

Since it only uses parts from the UCS gunship it's probably cheapest to buy that for the parts than doing a bricklink order 🙂

Good question, but I don't know. Personally, I think not. I think there will be a minifig Gunship sooner than later, probably next year (it's weird that they didn't released one this year).
Will there be the same modification for the set of 75313?
