I was surprised too because real journalist have lawyers on standby to check on their legal matters and she if she was a journalist shouldn't have freaked out when they tried accusing her of legal troubles and contacted her lawyer instead
Lesson learned, call the supposed agent’s office to confirm the legitimacy of the person you are talking with’s claims. Also, be very suspicious, especially when you get redirected to a bunch of different organizations that are all very assertive about identifying themselves as well as you and insist that you don’t talk to other people 😂 That’s the number one red flag of scams, “don’t tell anybody about what we’re discussing.”
