I had Bells Palsy about the same time too, still ongoing and no improvement after 4 years. Thor is an inspiration and has helped me stay positive, thanks big man👍
@@rihasanatrofolo2472 I had it too, but luckily it got away after around 3-4 months. I got medication, I think it was some sort of oral steroids, I googled it, so I'm not 100% sure, if so it had to be very low doses. It was so my face muscles can build up again. Additionaly to that, I had to do Face exercises, like smiling very bright, trying to lift my eyebrows etc. multiple times every day. The Doctors said if I don't do this exercises, it could happen that my face won't recover.
Stuff like this really makes you appreciate the privilege of good health. I once got black out drunk and somehow slept on my right hand while upright. I woke up with a phenomena called Saturday Night Palsy where my hand was paralysed and numb for about 2 months. My doctors had no idea what it was because it was so rare. It was a scary time in my life and made me appreciate so much. Fortunately, I got the feeling back over time and it’s practically back to normal. I hope Thor and anyone suffering something like this recovers. God bless
i had it for about 3 weeks or so. started with a pain behind my ear for about 6-7 days then i couldn't move my facial muscle properly. that when i realized what going on and started facial massaging to keep my muscle firm till the inflamed nerves healed and after 3-4 days started to slowly gain facial muscle control. i was fortunate to not be a long lasting problem wish everyone the best and recover quickly

Bell's Palsy is a weird thing... My father had it for a couple months when I was a kid, and then it went away. He got it again when I was in my 20's and it went away after a short time again. I hope it gets better for Thor!
I had it when I were 18 for around 3 to 4 month, at first I thought it were a stroke so a bit of panic sets in. Mine were down to getting some kind of parasite off a field where I played football, so my brain went into protect mode, it's what the doc says. Hope he recovers from it.
I had bells palsy but mine went away after about a month. It takes so getting used to. Talking is a struggle all in itself sometimes with it. Along with the having a hard time eating sometimes and drooling. The biting your tongue part is the worst cause you can't feel where your tongue is in your mouth. Hopefully it will go away brother.
well, inflamed nerves are something different than inflamed tissue. Also its not really all that life threatening, its an inconvenience, but a very mild one compared to other things, that can happen.
@@varileztradragonsong4603 You can't facially express yourself, you drool, your eye dries out so at night you have to put lubricant in and tape it shut. It really sucks. I had bilateral and had no facial expression. Luckily I got about 100% recovery in one side and 95% in the other.
Wonder how that is going to effect the fight against eddie...Eddie... haven't heard much about this advantage being brought up. Wonder if he feels punches on that side.
He's not good people, he's a cheat and a bad loser. In any sport, the worst thing you can be is a cheat. The way he tried to rob Eddie Hall was disgusting, I've no time for arseholes like that in any competition. Win it fair or accept you lost, there's no need to try cheating. Some would say what happened to him was karmic, a two faced guy suddenly got two different sides to his face.
Thing is, even left untreated, patients recover in anywhere from 14 days to a year. He's had this condition, unchanged, for coming up on 4 years now. So he's either got the worst case of Bell's Palsy on record, or it's something else.
Looks at Jim Ross, announcer from WWE/AEW, he had his first attack in 1994, never recovered, since then had multiple attacks. He also has it across his entire face.
Thats actually incorrect and the paralysis can be permanent or very long lasting. Watching his newest videos, there is a huge improvement and his face looks much less affected but it probably won't go back to 100%.

Is there any medication you take to fight it or does it have to go away by itself?

I'm finally fully recovering from it after close to two years. I feel for you, bro. This shit sucks

Damn, I thought that was the start of a joke, but that's crazy. Did it happen because the blood flow got restricted for too long?

My Bells palsy lasted a month. My aunt had it from the time she was about 50 til she died at 71
I think he looks a lot better now

He's had it for more then 3 years now. With all the advanced science in the medical field I'm surprised they don't have a treatment for that
I’ve had it for over a year. There is very little research surrounding the condition :(

Not all patients recover. It is a self-limiting disease usually caused by a virus. But many people live with this condition permanently.
