I remember doing these kits as a little kid in the 70s. Mom would put hem in the oven to "bake" them. We made all our ornaments when I was small. Paper rings, strung popcorn. Welisten to Christmas carolers and sing. We were poor but I had great Christmas memories.
Omg that advent calendar w/ the mouse is the one from my childhood and my mom gave it to me. Now I use it w/ my kids!! Never knew it was worth money. It has always been one of my favorite keepsakes from childhood ❤
I love your videos!
Thanks for everything you two share.
I have collected vintage Christmas for at least 15 years after our Christmas tree fell over and broke a lot of handed down ornaments:(
It’s getting harder and harder to find items as more and more people want the nostalgic decorations.
Because of CZcams channels like yours I found that Christmas countdown calendar with the mouse for 50 cents out garage saling a few months ago:)
Next time, look in the cat toys section because if it got separated from the calendar, it may have been thought to be a cat toy or cat nip toy!
Can’t believe you found the calendar great score!! Find the mouse!!!
I forgot to say congratulations on you two getting married!!!! I wish you all the happiness and love in the world! ❤🧡💛💚💙💜
The Unique building is beautiful love the staircase
True story, my husband and I both grew up with that calendar! I found his while sorting through things after my mother in law passed, days before Christmas in 2016. We had this special bonding moment over it and it brought joy in one of life's biggest sadnesses. It was kinda a staple for us older Millennials and I think that is why it is so sought after. I would always look for it when out thrifting but then inherited my late mother-in-laws. The lil mouse definitely gets lost easily. My brother has the one we used and the mouse is long gone. I was shocked my husband's childhood calendar still has it. I love Christmas traditions like this! I just hung ours up and it still makes me smile and just feels like the Holiday season has officially begun. Congrats on a great and special find to so many of us. I hope you two have a magical first Christmas together as newlyweds!! 💕🥰
My little sister had that Advent calendar with the mouse... Also, the stained glass ornaments were a craft kit in the 1970's called Makit & Bakit. There were 40 metal ornament shapes and special small colored beads. You'd fill in the shapes with the colors you wanted and then baked it into an amazing stained glass ornament.😊 I had them when I was a teen.
Hello from Australia. Firstly, congratulations on your marriage. Kangaroos and joeys don't hibernate. Joeys stay in the mother's pouch until they are quite large, getting out to graze. And thanks Jeanine - I'm in my 70s and starting to downsize items from my art and Japan related collections and with the knowledge you shared have now started collecting dinosaurs!
HELLO LADIES ❤ THANK U 4 Taking Us along & 4 SHARING UR KNOWLEDGE 🙏 U find the 🐁 🙏♥️
The dinosaur witch is amazing, what a find!!! I'm shocked that the holiday items are gone already. People love their Christmas don't they.
No lie, I joined in and sang "even a miracle needs a hand."
My sister and I loved Twas the night before Christmas TV special.
Laura’s favorite!!! ♥️ thanks for watching!
That Alice! ❤❤❤🍄❤❤❤
Hi from Australia. Cute you both found the kangaroos
So many Disney finds! I love the dwarf ornaments and the Alice figure ❤
I have lost so many pins putting them on my bags that I've stopped doing that 😆🤷♀️ . ❤
Hey Girls, Love the little suncatcher ornaments. I can remember those in the 70s. There were little glass beads you used and baked in the oven. Sold mine years ago at our annual garage sale!!!!! And I'll keep a lookout for advent calendar!!!!! So fun!!!!!❤
I have that very advent calendar, mouse too!
My kids sold the bells as a fund raising for school in the 80s
My mom and I made the stained glass ornaments back in the late 70's or 80's. It was fun to watch the little pellets melt through the oven door. My mom still has them. I was loving that frog that made noises!
My kids had that Avon calendar when it came out, and my son still has it. I’ve also picked up another one or two over the years because we loved it so much. And yes, I’m pretty sure the one you found before had the mouse with it; I remember seeing that episode.
A dinosaur witch wow who would’ve thought of that. 😅
Never seen the snail before, until a few days ago! I bought a bag of random minis at the thrift and found the baby to that snail! And a pheasant. So cuteeeee
I want that wreath! My mom had one similar in the mid 60's! I've been looking for one!
I found one of those Avon calendars last year at the Goodwill bins. It didn't have a mouse either. I sold it for $40.00 on ebay.
We need Christmas Merch!!! 😊
Love the Witch dinosaur!
That would have been so exciting if you had found the mouse in one of those bags! I just sold the same calendar on eBay, and was lucky that mine still had the mouse with it. 🐭
I love the stained glass ornaments
We love Australia and have visited twice. I haven’t bought kangaroo stuff there, but here in Canada I started a collection of kangaroo salt and pepper shakers. I have eight different ones so far. The mama kangaroo is the salt and the pepper (with a complete body! LOL) is the pepper. Keep your eyes out for them so you get complete joeys, not just heads.
I felt seen when you said hi to us Australian viewers 😂 Yes we still get cold winters down here definitely not as cold as northern US and Canada though! Kangaroos don’t migrate, they just hang about all year round 😊
Love the wreath! So pretty
Awww I have that advent calendar!!!
Love the official mic commentary 😂
I made suncatchers like the ones you bought in the 70s. I still use mine.
Thought I wouldn't find any more vintage Christmas, hubby and I found a 70's light up snowflake topper for .50 cents and a made in Japan elf, with his tag that said Japan., for .25 cents ❤
I have a little cat figurine with exactly the same colloring as your snail. ❣️🐌
I love the "Alice" figurine. I believe she was part of a set,she came with a wristwatch in the early 60's. I wanted one when I was a little girl. I was torn between Alice or Cinderella, I didn't get either one.
Love love Jeanine’s sweater! Where did she get it?
Could be a racing snail from The Neverending Story.
Love the Dalmatian puppy!😊
I have the same snail! I found mine in the summer this year at an estate sale, mine has a red Japan sticker on the bottom. I couldn't leave my guy behind either...he is so interesting looking!
Another fun video 😊
Have you ever used google lens? You can take a photo of your item and others will pop up that are on sale on different sites. It’s a great way to do your research
Love your new video!
Hi guys!! Is that the Avon Advent calendar? I had that twice!! Lol!! No more...
Looks like you have more than one viewer from Australia! I live in country Victoria and we have lots of Eastern Grey kangaroos around here. Kangaroos don't migrate for winter. They can be pests because they get into farming land and compete with animals for feed. They are also a big problem on the roads. Common road kill around here. They are more likely to be on the move around dawn and dusk. We have to be careful of them because they can do big damage to a car! They are fun to see. We also drive past a golf course on our way to town and there is often a big mob of them hanging out there. 😊 Anyway, love your videos. Love seeing all the treasures you find.
My mother had that plastic Santa pin you first showed! I think she got it from Avon in the late '80's or early '90's.
You also have a New Zealand viewer too ❤
The stained glass ornaments were a kit. My daughter and I made the ones that had the NOEL in it . We still have them. Daughter was about 4 when we made them and that was 28 years ago. Unfortunately I put them on an ‘air-filled’ cookie shoot and it popped up and all the crystals flew all over the oven. My daughter was sobbing! But we had enough crystals left to re-do them!!😮😢
Not shot but sheet!!
Happy Belated Thanksgiving❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤. It's Awesome a Mice Hunt at Unique's😊. GREAT VIDEO AND GREAT CONTENT. THUMBS-UP ALWAYS!!!!!!!
...and I bet Jeanine could make a mouse if you dont find it...I am still watching. 😊
I’m in Australia too. There a few places that have snow. Tasmania has a lot of the different seasons. I’ve been here 15 years but I want to go somewhere to see snow. I’ve not seen it for 15 years.
While you were looking at the German candles, I think I spotted a Ghibli cat mug! 😮😢
I used to go to that store every week. No unique by me now in Tampa but there are 2 Red White & Blues here.
You missed the Joan Anglund Walsh figurines!!!! In the first pkg you looked at..:(
Jeanine, I was hoping you would do a little fashion show, and show us (me) your skull sweater.💀
i made some of the stained glass ornaments you got it did come as a kit still go on my tree and thought of you 2 today thrifting i picked up a flocked santa it is a music box for 4.99 another fun video
Hi from Clearwater Fl
Hope you guys are having fun in Disney.
Thrift stores actually hire people who know vintage and antiques to price items.
Anything Tiki Bar is worth money.
Kangaroos don't migrate for the winter. They are are around through all the seasons
I really enjoy your thrifting videos❤, and I have a question out of sheer curiosity; why is there a pink wire kennel in the backseat? 😂 I've noticed it and my crazy brain can't process why it's there 😂
Haha it’s for our dogs when we travel! 🤗 Thanks for watching :)
First 🎉
❤️🙃
Are those clear bags with bare vinyl records hanging up behind the bags?? I have never seen that. I wonder who would buy those?
Kangaroo with her Joey
