It's tough for me to watch such videos and imagine women delivering babies under such conditions, but as an American, I have to watch because this is what we have done or allowed to be done to these people. If I find it very difficult, I just wonder how Joe Biden isn't finding it tough to watch knowing that he's the one person, the only one who could have stopped it. What does the UN need to do:
1. Draw up sanctions against all IDF and leaders that committed war crimes and genocide and actually arrest them all for their crimes.
2. Fine Israel for full restitution for the Palestinian people and what has been done to their emotional well being, their homes, communities etc.
3. Finish the separation of the states and give the Palestinian people back with borders and protection the Gaza Strip, and West Bank. And enforce their protection.
Anything less is a disgusting display of racism, and inhumane.

My Mapuche mother lost all of her teeth at 20 due to pregnancy-related calcium deficiency. Anemia is also common in pregnant women, although completely avoidable with a balanced diet and prenatal vitamins.
I am a feminist. But I am also a realist. Poor women who are sick from pregnancy-e.g., vitamin/electrolyte deficiencies, gestational diabetes, preeclampsia-who are living in apocalyptic conditions don’t have the energy or inclination to listen to middle class women waxing eloquently about patriarchy.
