You can hate Terra all you want, but you can’t deny his absurd willpower. He’s holding off arguably the most powerful wielder of darkness even after losing his body and mind

D4rkSonic his heart never truly succumbed though. There's even a scene with Terra's heart telling xehanort he's going to get the boot. Lingering will is his mind, but he's not resisting against xehanort because he's an outside force. Namine even had to communicate to it for it to help the guardians of light. The Terra here in this scene is his heart resisting xehanort. And he's been doing it for 10 years.

IronSnake98 yup thats actually what happened in kh 3 then again for me it was pretty obvious since BBS I mean when we first got are look at what the actual Xehanort looks like that’s what hit me especially at the end of BBS terra and aqua final battle anyway xehanort literally looks like ansem sod but old as dirt so that just tells me xehanort got the main heartless form ansem sod sure as hell explains Xehanorts wardrobe on him and while terra heart on the other hand was Xehanort shadow shield sounds legit to me after all there had to be two heartless like how Xehanort body was two people I wasn’t really that shocked when it happened to be honest
Terra seriously has the strongest will out of anyone in the series. It's so strong that it animated his armor and fought when he couldn't. It's so strong that he's been resisting Xehanort's efforts to completely take over his body...for a decade. Even when he became a mindless beast as the Guardian, part of him was STILL fighting inside and eventually broke free.
When he tells Aqua here that he won't give in, that wasn't bullshit lol.
That scene in KH3 where he comes back is just so satisfying, because not only is Terra finally free, but it means he's been fighting this entire time. Never gave up, never lost hope. Xehanort really used Terra because of his power, not realizing that's part of the reason for his downfall.
Looks like Jason's gotten better at acting for Terra. Can't wait to hear him in III.
His line where he said "That is enough!" convinced me that he stepped up his game this game.

Dante Kenway from what I've heard from people, Jason's voice acting for Terra kind of lacked emotion. I personally never had major problems with Terra's VA, but he could've used a bit of tweaking

Exactly. Also, part of him wants to come back to life through Xemnas. Terra is above the powers of Light and Darkness...it just narrows down the power of pure, unbounded Will. Thus far, he is the most powerful character in Kingdom Hearts lore aside from The Master of Masters...but I'm sure Sora will surpass it somehow in Kingdom Hearts III.
Karlhel Rivera him and Riku are the strongest. And I hope sora doesn't surpass anyone. Just let him be sora, the guy I hate and almost always wins.

Yeah...I think Terra is a litte above Riku, but like you said he is right there with Terra. Terra is scattered in so many fragments...Lingering Will, in Xemnas subconcious and body and possibly in Ansem's Guardians...As seen in Dream Drop Distance when it hold it's hand imitating Riku holding the Keyblade and a fragment of Terra always still tries to struggle to get through that dark abyss he is in.
If Terra is put back as a whole, I genuinely believe he can take most if not all the Seeker Of Darkness by himself...
Terra saying his heart has ties to the dark and the symbolism of him spawning behind Terra-Xehanort is some interesting foreshadowing.
While it is bad that Aqua was in the Realm Of Darkness for a decade, Terra was trapped within his own body not able to do anything for the same amount of time trying not to succumb to another person's darkness and still is able to push against it, now that is impressive

Marc Demme Sora stabbed himself and became a heartless in Hollow Basin, KH1. At that time Ansem the SoD tried to eliminate Donald, Goofy and Kairi, and Riku showed up from nowhere blocked the Ansem
That's a cool parallel, so Ven and Sora are comatose/ out of the picture, Kairi/ Aqua have something that Xehanort wants (Kairi's heart, location of Ven) and when all seems lost Riku/ Terra step up as one last ditch effort to hold back the darkness.

So many people hate on Terra but that scene was epic. His showdown with Eraqus was another defining moment. I think people hated him because of his weakness to his own darkness (most likely other reasons XD ) but still, he's a key character, hate him or not.

He wanted a body and he got one.he definitely would've gotten his way somehow. My question to you is if it hadn't of been Terra who would've been strong enough to hold back xehanort the way he did.
Terra forced xehanort to break the body into xemnas and ansem which are much weaker than terranort. Who knows what would've happened had terranort stayed in the picture...
Terra is so strong that when Master Xehanort tried to use him as a vessel, his armor animated itself to fight lmao
WAIT!!!! What if all this was a part of xemnas using the chamber of repose to talk to aqua to reveal the location of ven to him!!! Cause doesn't anyone remember the secret cutscene from 2.5 remix???, think about it every time aqua "sees" terra he disappears but maybe xemnas stayed in long enough to communicate to her but aqua sees him as "terra". Maybe that's why xemnas sent some members of organization 13 to castle oblivion to retrieve ven after aqua unintentionally revealed the location to him!!!

Meead Rahman the 2.5 cutscene took place between kingdom hearts 1 and 2 , it even took place before chain of memories cause they were still looking for more organization members, xigbar even started he found a couple new members even on called "mar something"(marluxia) so it does fit

Played this game today for the first time and seeing Aqua actually talk to Terra like that was so amazing to me. Glad they can still keep in touch. This is probably one of the best scenes for Terra imo. Seeing him choke Xehanort like that is so satisfying lol. Also I really like the "That is enough!!!!" line. Very good voice acting there.

It's subtly suggested on a few occasions that the Organization was really in Castle Oblivion to find Ven but only a few members knew that truth. They kinda gave up on it when the new Organization formed though which is a shame because that could have been a cool KH3 plot point.

Just came to this epiphany as well. Would explain why Xemnas found out about the Chamber of Waking. There was plenty of time in the decade between BBS and KH1 where this could have happened.

I really wonder if in the first minutes Terra was really him or Xehanort just trying to trick Aqua. Like, the behaviour change when his spirit appears to fight, how quickly he tells Aqua the truth compared with his abstract dialogue from before... It gives me chills how close Xehanort was to get the truth.
It may be me, but the hint of “Terqua” is strong here.

You know I think I finally figured out this scene. It must be happening during that same cutscene from KH2 Final Mix. Where Xemnas is seen walking down the flight of stairs in Radiant Garden to speak to Aqua's Armor. I believe Aqua was speaking truly to Terra until Xemnas sat in the chair saying "Its been a long time my friend". Thats when I believe Xemnas took control and found out where Ven was hidden, in the chamber of waking. Thus finding out this information. Tasked the Castle Oblivion Team to go and find him
George930 Yep. At that same time, Ansem-Riku was just defeated by Sora and Sora was releasing Kairi's heart. Thus, when Terra used the Will's Cage on Terranort again, Riku resisted Ansem from attacking Kairi.
I kinda have a theory that Xemnas had reached out to Ansem and together they had sent an illusion of Terra of sorts to search for Aqua in the Realm of Darkness. Naminé, having just been born, reached out to the Lingering Will to protect Aqua, and thus (SOMEHOW) Terra's mind influenced the part of Terranort's heart that was still Terra to rebel once more. The subsequent use of the Will's Cage on Terranort in the RoD forever separated the body and heart from creating another illusion permanently. Since Ansem had his attention divided between maintaining the illusion with Xemnas and using Riku, Riku was able to hold him off and give Kairi, Goofy, and Donald a successful escape; as such, being no longer able to form another connection allowed him to turn his full attention to possessing Riku, finally casting him (was it Riku's mind or heart?) to the Realm of Darkness where he had lost connection to Xemnas.
Again, nothing more than conjecture and theorizing, so feel free to disregard. There are details that still need to be ironed out anyway.

Xehanort fights another battle against Terra's Lingering Will to protects his friends.
I cannot understand the hate for Terra. He is my favourite of the three. His story is so complex. He loves his friends and fought his own darkness to try and save them.
He's also the nicest and gentlest of the three of them while also being the most physically powerful. Nice juxtaposition, showing nuance for a male character. I love it.

Terra is arguebly the strongest character in the entire series. As proven by Terra Xehanort being able to wipe out the 7 guardians of light in the timeline before Sora uses the Power of Waking

@@urahara64360 He's not dumb, just misguided. If anything it's Eraqus' dumb ass that's at fault for not warning his students about Xehanort at all and letting them fall into his clutches. Let's not forget that Eraqus' scars are from before the start of the game since he has them from the very first moment we see him and Xehanort revealed his infatuation with the darkness right when he gave them to him. So that should've been grounds for Eraqus to immediately take Xehanort down right then and there or at least to make sure his students knew about Xehanort's true nature while keeping him far away from their home. Instead of doing any of that Eraqus' dumbass just let's Xehanort walk in and out of the place freely while also making his students a target for him by showing off their training sessions which revealed Terra's weakness to the darkness to Xehanort in the first place. BBS is basically one huge cautionary tale as to why dumbasses like Eraqus shouldn't be left in charge.

I can see telling them once they were all master's in their own right since if any one of them took on xehanort alone at any point before the game began they would have been in just as much danger. He thought he was doing the right thing by protecting them from the truth.

Looking back, this scene is actually the Red Flag for Aqua being Norted.
This is the scene where Xehanort knows Aqua is trapped in the Realm of Darkness.

After all, this is just a short game (2 hours at best) to try out the new engine of unreal engine 4 on kingdom hearts, think of it as a prototype or a beta.

I guess since Ven consists purely of the light now , that will be true.
So sad they never did anything with the whole Xemnas locating Ventus and the Chamber of Repose/Waking thing. That scene they added to KH2FM with Zexion and Xigbar gave me the chills, and this scene really made me more excited to see where it'll lead.
(Also, some low-key theorizing, but I think this conversation with Terra and Xemnas talking to Aquas armor in the previously mentioned scene happen at the same moment in time, though Terra-Xehanort's voice being imposter Ansem's is evidence of the contrary.)

you know I realized something the only place this scene can take place in the timeline and make sense would be when riku-ansem aka xehanort got his ass handed to him by sora think about it where aqua game is taking place pretty at the end of KH1 and honestly this makes the most sense now especially after playing KH3 xehanort would have to lose control or grip on terra heart aka the shadowy other for a moment and crazy enough in KH 1 riku-ansem-xehanort vanishes for a few minutes and obviously while that happened terra was able to show himself briefly when that ended with aqua we see ansem come back with xehanorts spitting image
not to mention it would also fit perfectly because right before terra takes xehanort heart by supersize xehanort would literally utter the same words as his heartless did DONT YOU KNOW MY NAME!!! he was obviously going to say IS ANSEM as he did minutes before when introducing himself to sora IT IS I ANSEM THE SEEKER OF DARKNESS! the timing and placement really fits perfectly if you ask me

Berserker Guy I did not mean them together on a Single DLC but TWO separate episodes for each of them. After playing 0.2 I saw this as a possibility. Plus fans have wanted to see Mickey's journey to the Realm of Darkness on KH1 for a looong time now.

Notice how Terranort puts his hand on phantom Terra’s face and right before he fights back he opens his eyes mirroring how the Guardian Heartless under Terra’s control puts his hand on Terranort’s face and as he opens his eyes he’s unable to fight back and Terra with Sora’s help manages to take back his body for good.
