If you have enabled concurrent execution than you can run multiple instance in parallel , else it will fail with an error the current execution is yet to complete :)

A lot of things you mentioned here are more theoretical and if you could mentioned in detail how to run in Autosys, that would be great. Also as a tester do you run Autosys? I mean does it comes under the role of QA tester to run Autosys?
I haven't seen people using any tools to measure performance, You can use tracing tools to debug performance issues though. You need to make general estimates like if you are loading 10000 records and its taking 10 mins the performance is not good and need to be tackled. I hope that helps.
