- Becoming a Christian involves a radical transformation: the ties that bind us to the sin of Adam are broken, and we are made alive in Christ Jesus. Alistair Begg explains that it is incongruous for those who have embraced Christ in His glory to live as though they do not know Him. As we war against the world, the flesh, and the devil, we need a constant reminder that God has united us with Christ and is renewing us day by day.

Please pray for me, and my family members some of whom turned to a "systematic" Christianity that is heavily into patriarchy. It hasn't produced the righteousness of Christ.

This allowed me to understand more clearly what being “In Christ” means. It took an explanation of the negative “No longer in Adam”, in rebellion. I now understand that I am in Christ not by any exertion to do so on my part, but by transference of family. Thank you Alistair.

All that belongs to Christ is mine?? Oh, then God the Father is mine. The Church is mine. The beautiful earth and all that God has made is mine. WOW and even the sinful world is mine, although I don't know if I want such a sinful world, but if God so loved the world, then I want to do the same. Correction: “He was WITH GOD in the beginning.”
“Seeing that you HAVE put off…”. John 3:3. “You must be born-again.” “You can not put NEW WINE in old wine skins…” The “pull is so strong” because we don’t understand what He meant when He said, “COME OUT FROM AMONG THEM…” We allow the world “system” and its “values” or LACK of them, to FILL OUR MINDS, AND OUR HEART’S AFFECTIONS. What we focus on GROWS…even every “psychologist”, knows this.
