Stemming from his two strong bloodlines, Boruto is a prodigy, regarded as able to accomplish anything he attempts in remarkably short periods of time. Having inherited his paternal grandfather's genius and his father's unpredictability, he scored at the top of his class and by his Genin Exams, and is viewed as well-above the rest of his generation with chūnin-level prowess. As a genin, Boruto is regarded as an elite who excels in all fields of combat. His prowess had proved crucial in defeating formidable opponents including Momoshiki, Urashiki, and the members of Kara. Ngl Momoshiki Otsusuki arc/boruto's 1st movie was amazing. Naruto and sasuke fight together, boruto realization about his father, then that giant father-son rasengan scene, and that finishing move by boruto to momoshiki. Damn.
Then it went downhill from there

Boruto has become one of my favorite new gen protagonists over the course of the series. He's grown so much since the days where he was an annoying prick, and it's awesome to witness.
Even at the beginning of this series, if people were looking for other aspects to his character he was obviously more than that.

This was literally the greatest Boruto character explaination video I’ve ever seen. You hit every point on its mark and it’s why I prefer Boruto’s character and it’s series over Naruto’s. Mainly because Naruto didn’t go through this level of maturity until Jiraya died.
ngl I'd say Boruto is far more skilled than Naruto. Naruto is more powerful, but Boruto has been shown capable of casting many complex jutsu that we never see with Naruto

same, the thing i found anooying was that naruto rarely used taijutsu which wasnt brawling and just used rasengan and spammed shadow clones but boruto uses a varierty of jutsus and good taijutsu

@@Shisuiissuperiortoyou no In the war arc it was ninjutsu we saw him only use taijutsu against sasuke in the final valley and he couldn’t hold his own he still had to use shadow clones to help him out which isn’t really a issue only if u speaking strictly taijutsu

Boruto’s chakra exceeds most people, but he comes nowhere near Naruto. Kakashi himself claimed that Boruto’s chakra supply is not enough to create the Oodama rasengan, a larger rasengan. Still, he’s got Minato’s brains to work with what he has.
Maybe once he learns Senjutsu he’ll be able to create larger and more powerful Justus.

I think the main reason is naruto didn’t get to be around his family as much as boruto, and because of that naruto had to search for love by giving it, and doesn’t know how to be a parent that tries hard enough to understand his children but only loves and try hard for his own goals and dreams(aka taking care of the village as his family).

Unpopular opinion:I like boruto......he is not a typical shonen protagonist with no parents and a sad backstory........and not always screaming his future aim all the time and not getting his ass beat all the time and getting back up with the power of freindship,unlike other shonen protagonists he doesnt do things rashly like rushing into a villain with no plans at all....instead he attacks with a strategy which for the most part works out......he is a prodigy unlike shonen protagonists who arent prodigies and has to work hard.......which boruto also does but he has talent much like sasuke all he needs is proper guidance and training to hone his skills which he is getting all the while loving his family and it is confirmed boruto loves hinata more than anything....values his teammates and respects sasuke and naruto and can give his life away to protect his village(talk about character developement) and he DOESNT RELY ON TALK NO JUTSU...............the only other shonen protag who has all these properties are ichigo a punk who is a born badass unlike other shonen protags who are silly and goofy and can beat up the wrongdoers whenever he wants.....and doesnt get buffed from the power of freindship and talk no jutsu!
