Outstanding performance - the consummate one man band!
My folk rock hero powered by late 80s synths.
Thank you for watching and commenting
I love the heavier more urgent sound Lookin' On has in this live performance.
Legend with an incredible talent ⭐️⭐️⭐️
Grace & Danger is a masterpiece , One World is too .
Thanks for posting! Brilliant versions of these songs (though ended kinda abruptly). When he was on the man was ON (and he was mostly on). Master musician, caster of spells. ❤☮🌎
Yes its a shame it ended pretty much mid song, but that's the way it is on my tape unfortunately.
But thanks for watching and commenting
@@ScottishTeeVee I figured as much but thought I'd mention it anyway, just in case there's another version out there or something. Anyhoo, any newly seen John Martyn performances make for a better day so thanks again! ❤☮🌎
A brilliant musician/singer/songwriter - I have all his early albums up to Bless The Weather and I also like his stuff that came after. I can separate the music from the man - the man himself I’m not so keen on today. The way he treated his first wife Beverly was disgraceful, and she was as talented as he was. I won’t repeat what Martyn got up to, it’s well documented today. But still, I can’t deny his talent as his music speaks for itself.
Not seen this footage before, thank you for sharing this.
this guy was interesting
he's like Biffy Clyro's ancestor
or Jack Whites
He's not a household name but he should be. Just like the band The Sound.
Agreed re The Sound (who I used to manage)
@@stephenbudd3771 I was around as a teenager when The Sound were making music and I listened to John Peel, I bought and read NME and Melody Maker and was into indie and alternative bands and I just never heard of The Sound and it as only just over a year ago when I discovered them on CZcams and then 'From the Lions Mouth' and quite simply it's one of the best albums ever made.
The description is 1998. Fix it to 1988 please.
