I think a good application is just data visualisation and having a fluid UI UX. An open source tool to do that will be great project personally.

the biggesr problem is that chatgpt is unusable at this point. horrible speed and its like you are btter off not usung it . GPT4o maybe fast but its going to become a sluggish soon

I listened to the whole launch hearing "4o" as "4.0" and thinking they were releasing 4.0 for free and nothing for paid. I'm still kinda confused, but at least know I know it's o for omni.

The reason you couldn’t click the links is because it didn’t search the web and gave you the info from its training data. When it does web search there should be some sort of indication message similar to Code Interpreter. Sometimes I have to tell it to do it with this new model
Is it wise for a company to tell everybody there is free hamburgers, but when they go there, they discover there is no free hamburgers. People don't usually make these kind of mistakes. Maybe they are ruled by a AI that has no common sense. I'm sure they'll fix it on the upgrade.

uhuh because the fact that's it's no longer an LLM but multimodel with similar performance to its pure LLM cousin while running at half the cost is a "plateau", sure, whatever, we'll just ignore these leaps and strides
@@whattheshmitty I think you kinda missed the point, yes it is faster, yes it combines multiple modals into one, but as impressive as it seems, it's not a real advancement of the AI model, it's mainly just a better frontend to access/interact with the already existing models and a more efficient/powerful software/hardware that actually runs the model.
The difference between the GPT2 and GPT3 models was massive, same was GPT3 to GPT4, but then, the differences between GPT4 and GPT4 turbo and now GPT4o are insignificant for most things.
@@whattheshmitty But who knows, maybe GPT5 will be another giant leap forward, but for now, it does seem that when it comes to the actual modals, the progress is grinding down to a halt.
