      Hi to be honest I have never heard of this college before. I am not sure if it’s a good college or not. I know that college Lasalle is pretty famous in Montreal. Regarding part time jobs, I suggest since you have 6 months, have some basic French ready with you. This will make things smoother for you when you will come here. You can get a job anyway but having some basic French will get you a job faster. All the best!

    Hello I have studied DVS in English but AVS in French , I am from Morocco so we do speak French, is it necessary to pass writing still of just expression orale and comprehension orale are enough? Thank you

    • @thefrenchdesi
      @thefrenchdesi  Před 17 dny

      Hello thank you for your comment. If you apply through Quebec graduate stream, your study program will have to be in French (75% of the courses) regardless of your mother tongue being French. You will also have to show spoken (production orale) and written (production écrit). It will be easy for you since you speak French but just for the sake of formality, you will have to give the exams. Hope this helps! Also I love Morocco, much love :)

    Hi there!
    How are you doing?
    Is it worth enrolling ourselves into M.Eng in Civil at Concordia University? Do you have any idea about how good is this University?

    • @thefrenchdesi
      @thefrenchdesi  Před 3 dny +1

      Hi Rahul I am good and hope you are too! I did not have any friends who studied civil engineering in Concordia. But generally speaking, yes Concordia is a good university for engineering as compared to other universities. I personally found my masters program to be challenging and rewarding at the same time. Civil engineering/construction jobs are always in demand but in Quebec, you will really need to learn French if you wish to practice civil engineering here. Hope this helps. All the best :)

    I have 2 quick questions. I just received my bachelors in Quebec in English in December 2023. and I did my TEF Canada exam and got B1 in writing but I have B2 and C1 in the other levels. Can I apply for the PEQ? at minute 2:42 you said I need to have obtained my diploma at least 36 months prior to submitting my application. Does that mean I have to apply for the PEQ 36 months after december 2023 or did you mispeak

    • @thefrenchdesi
      @thefrenchdesi  Před 26 dny

      Thank you for your comment. You should be fine with your current level of French knowledge. As for the 36-month requirement, you don’t need to wait. Your degree just needs to have been obtained within 36 months of submitting your application, so you can go ahead and submit it right away.

    Hi do the students need to show french proficiency to collect their diploma from their college after completing studies

    • @thefrenchdesi
      @thefrenchdesi  Před 16 dny

      Hello, yes I believe majority of the colleges has started implementing this rule after bill 96 was passed in Quebec. This is not true if you are enrolled in university yet (McGill or Concordia). The universities have contested this decision and the rule is not applied as of now until a decision comes from the court.

    Hello sir , Can you suggest a trustworthy immigration consultant or lawyer in Montreal ?

    • @thefrenchdesi
      @thefrenchdesi  Před 13 dny

      Hi, I have never consulted any immigration agent so I cannot tell you whom should be trusted. But I can recommend ParulTV, you can check out www.parul.tv/immigration. Again, it’s just a recommendation and I had no personal experience with him. Hope this helps!

    Is doing accounting advance diploma worth it in quebec?!

    • @thefrenchdesi
      @thefrenchdesi  Před 4 dny

      Hi Hardev, if this course helps you to get the title of CPA then yes it is definitely worth it. Chartered accountant is a very niche and good category job anywhere in Canada. Just make sure to validate the course is legit and not just a made up course. I have seen that colleges come up with random courses just to fill international seats, so please check each and every detail before coming. All the best!

    sir i applied Quebec entrepreneur business immigration in 2103..now i have paid my landing fee and waiting for my passport for a visa .....i wanted to ask do we still need to learn french in order to get PR ? as we applied 10 years ago

    • @thefrenchdesi
      @thefrenchdesi  Před měsícem

      Hello I do not have enough experience with this program but I am pretty sure you do not need to show French proficiency if your file is already approved. They consider the time of your application so any changes made to the rules after that wont be considered to your file. So you should be good with your application.

    • @thefrenchdesi
      @thefrenchdesi  Před 2 měsíci

      Hi yes it could be eligible but you will still need to show B2 level of written and spoken French by giving TEFAQ. Make sure your college is accredited by the government and your course falls under the eligibility list.

    • @thefrenchdesi
      @thefrenchdesi  Před 6 dny

      Hello if you have already received B2 certificate in French then you should go for it. I dont really think that experience matters here because it’s graduate program stream. But showing experience would be much beneficial than showing nothing. All the best!

      Hello, since you already have 1.5 years of experience I would say if you speak French then temporary foreign worker program would be best for you. This requires you to have at least 2 years of work experience in Quebec so by the time you complete your 2 years, you can learn French. You can read more about this program here: www.quebec.ca/en/immigration/permanent/skilled-workers/quebec-experience-program/selection-conditions/temporary-workers
