  • The Orgelkids organ is a mechanical, two rank pipe organ in a box. In the box you find all the parts to build a real organ. Children can build this organ (with a little help of an organbuilder or organist). Different tasks can be done in groups simultaneously: constructing the frame, sorting pipes, sorting keys. Then all the parts come together in the frame: the windchest, the bellows, keys and pipes. Then … play!

Orgelkids is an educational project, founded in the Netherlands by Lydia Vroegindeweij.
The organ is designed and build by Wim Janssen.
The music in the video is a fragment of 'Happiness', composed by Ad Wammes (adwammes.nl).
It is played by Willeke Smits on the organ of the Tuindorpkerk in Utrecht NL (willekesmits.nl)
The pictures are made during different educational projects in schools, cultural events and churches in the Netherlands and in Belgium. Thanks to you, children and teachers!
