It's mind boggling that Nio is just a little bit higher than Tesla and little bit lower than Mercedes regarding depreciation. I mean Nio has a swappable battery for pet's sake. This is the most expensive and important part of the whole car. Nio should be on top, no contest!
@@schouten841 agree. It will be at the top of resale value . Give it time. Takes a few years for people to realize what NIO is. All the other car companies at the top have been around much much longer. It won’t be mind boggling when folks realize the car quality is superior that others, and zero worries about batteries if you buy second hand

I would think that battery swap capability is one of the main reasons of Nio's higher resale value. This is the main advantage compare to other BEVs. Nios could boost their sales by first, having single battery variant and second, remove some of the advance driver assistance features and expensive hardware associated with that and thus reduce the entry price.
These swap vouchers aren’t a big cost to Nio. 20 vouchers is maybe $200 total saving to the customer but to Nio it probably only costs $100. They will probably be replaced with more discounts on upgrades or something. Free swap vouchers is a great promotion for selling cars at very little cost to Nio.
It’s good for the Nio momentum till end of August when Onvo momentum starts.

Don’t think the 4 month one month free matters really for rich folks buying a NIO. You don’t buy a car if you can’t afford that 3 extra month of BAAS use payments… how much is the BAAS fees? It’s not like you get free electricity… it’s just the swap part. That’s not much when you consider 537000 cars on the road as of now and only a small portion have that incentive. Let’s just focus on the car itself . It should sell itself if people like the car. Enough with the incentives…. Either way , I’m thinking differently than folks on a budget. You don’t buy a NIo if you are going to have problems paying for it😊

I suspected when it comes to depreciation unlike others Nio will hit a plateau in which it will reach a minimum price due to battery swap while other EV's will reach 0% a total loss. No one will want a car that old that will require 20k to replace the battery.

This is common in Asia. People don’t like to stand out. Most people only like white, black and gray. If you want to resell a car and it’s another color, no one will buy it.

Main thing with 20k delivery every month next quarter will still lose 500 million usd .thus cash raising and dilution to shareholder cannot escape. Nio mgmt need to stop bleeding in rnd and open massive shop .nio may need to break even in 2026 thus suffer multiple dilution and maybe reverse split .ceo alway desperate to raise cash to cover huge lost in rnd .It will be shocking new when dilution again n massive short seller short nio to the floor
