I love my tube amps but they're not always the optimal solution for my gigs so for various reasons, when playing live I prefer using my Kemper Profilers. Once I discovered that making my own profiles was the key to getting MY sound I've loved these crazy devices. That's why for the last 5 years I've used a Kemper on every gig I've played.
Until now, for probably 98% of the songs I play live i've used settings based on one of two profiles I made in 2019 - either my Fender '68 Custom Deluxe Reverb or a Bugera 1960 Infinium. With a little tweaking I've been able to make these profiles work for nearly every scenario I've encountered - much like I would the original amps.
Now that I've finally got my Home Studio up and running with a bunch of great amps, I thought it'd be a good idea to try making some new profiles. Of course I had to begin with my Marshall JCM2000 DSL100 with Voodoo Amps' Senes Custom Modification. While this amp is capable of a bunch of great sounds I decided to start simple with a nice crunchy Hard Rock sound, sort of a JCM800 on steroids kind of tone.
So how did the Kemper do? Well, you gotta watch the video and find out.
Spoiler Alert: I'm not at all disappointed!!!!!!
