If you LOVE your coffee, this is the ONLY machine to get! I have had two, in two different homes. Whether or not you want to get it plumber is up to you. I have not found that to be necessary. It makes delicious coffee that is perfect, every time, at the push of a button. It was important to me, in my summer home, that I build in as many appliances as possible, as I had little counter space. Well worth the money!
When taken care of, they last forever. The MIELE products - from vacuums, to coffee makers, are, in my opinion, the very best on the market. I wouldn't get anything BUT! I have had two, in two different homes. They have been perfect.
Almost 10,000 total beverages out of the machine now with nothing but owner maintenance. (it keeps a count of each beverage you make in the info section of the settings menu) I will add that the milk flask siphon tubes (the little plastic tubes that suck up milk for lattes and cappuccinos) turned out to be rather fragile and cracked with repeated tweaking when removing and replacing the lid. I replaced them with 1/4" foodgrade poly tubing. It is flexible yet cleans easily. Works great.
You open the door and lift it out from inside there. The container has a plastic lid with a handle you spin counter-clockwise about an 8th of a turn to unlock it and lift it off. By the way, this coffee machine is still going strong after 10 years of near daily use.

Great vid!! Brilliant machine
Still working great. We use it everyday we are home, and it gets used all day and into night when we have parties and so forth.

Nice video, but can you tell me how the machine is holding up now. Have you had to have many service calls out to it? Thanks so much!

What kind of milk do you use in the carafe? I was wondering if it makes a difference when it comes to the type of froth you get.
