I’ve got to admit, as someone who is coming to this game from clash of clans, the pay to win aspect feels terrible because clash of clans is probably the best F2P supercell game, and coming from that to this makes squad busters feel terrible
It’s brawl stars, it takes the least amount of time for a F2P to catch up
at least we can all agree that nothing is more P2W than clash royale 😭

I think you should be able to choose characters to have a higher chance of ending up in your squad since whats the point of investing in specific characters when alot of times you wont be able to use them in a match
I agree... I dislike the fact that whenever you evolve some unit to super, It starts to get annoying whenever I get more of this same unit since it won't help in nothing and actually slows my other units to reach super.
What could be done is to use these spare units to have a higher chance to these characters be found in the battle.
Something like a building in the lobby that you have a ten slot spell drawn on the floor to place your spare units.
The more of the same kind, the higher the chance (Super counts 10x, Classics counts 5x, Babies count 1x)
this is exactly what i discussed in the video. it wouldn’t be fair if you can choose who to be in your squad because you could just play the same broken squad over and over again. it would be GREAT theoretically, but when you think about it, it would cause the game to be too repetitive and plays retention would drop drastically
@@bustahbren Clash Royale before all the p2w things was enjoyed and considered a good game and they allow you to choose your deck, with balance changes why can’t they do the same with squad busters?
The progression and new characters unlocked should make you edit your squad anyway so it’s not like everyone will be using the same squad everytime

Sth like the coin shower event from brawl stars can be a good way to earn extra coins, maybe it depends on the gem we have collected in a match or where we can keep certain percent of the coins we spent during a match. An occasional event like that will give players a reason to grind even more.

I think they should add 5 chests instead of 3 so you can like get 1chest per hour because if your playing game without chest (which so many players do) your getting no value and its harder to progress

Another great video! Personally, i am in love with daily quests, tapping those golden quests for some gold is very satisfying and entertaining.I wish to have 5 chest tickets instead of 3 so i wont have to get some time away for not having coins nor chest tickets for some fun. I love gem pass, but wish to have rewards other than a single chest key for grinding 2500 gems, either triple the key amount or change it with some coins. Furthermore, i love the overall profile stats too, the character-plaza design is insanely adorable and flashy. One big obstacle for free2play is how long it takes from go from classic, to advanced or whatever is the name, since sometimes the chests only contain ONE single duplicate of the character. Keep Your Work Up!

i’m glad you liked the structure of the video! as far as the progression system, it could definitely use a slight buff for F2P players. there just needs to be more ways to obtain gold so people can buy chest tickets or characters from the shop. that would help progression in general
Something I'd like to see in squad busters is a feature where every character gets a class (if that's already in the game, my bad. I don't play any non-global supercell games), and, before you enter a queue, be able to select two types of classes that will have a higher chance of appearing in chests.
the characters already have "classes" like theres the speedsters, the tanks, and the ranged units
As a 5 supercell games addict for 7 years (- clash mini) whatever the game would be I'll still play it, it has an extreme potential and I hope they do a good job with the updates there are too much creative things to make, thank you for your consistency Bren ! 2:10 there is a way you can know what units you could get before each match. Before joining a match the game pops up a list of available units you have a chance of encountering during this one match so you can strategically plan what units you want for the battle. there is randomness to the match but at least you have knowledge about your options and maybe supercell might remove keys with another option if the community truly don't like it but I like the keys they give you options but if there are epic units in your match list its not manatory for you to use your key if you don't like a certain epic unit for example lets say you don't like battle healer you might not want to use those keys and the game has a key limit and reroll limit so its not totally "busted" lol
yes i understand that you can see what your squad will be next match, but that’s not what the problem is. it’s not being able to use all of the available slots because the characters you don’t have, take up those slots. it’s limiting the options you can get from chests which makes the game even more limited

I didnt even know mega units were consumable. I used all 3 in one game. No wonder why I haven't gotten any in so long..

Honestly I’m glad I subbed to you. Love me an honest review of someone who seems to genuinely be interested in the game. Though I don’t think the game is in great shape for a global launch. I remember brawl stars was basically the same. it took a while for BS to take off so I’m hoping in due time SB would become better. and I’m hoping you’d be one of its big content creators.

I think as long as the devs constantly listen to the community (like other supercell games) the game will skyrocket! It has a similar build to brawl stars and has a lot of potential! I'm REALLY optimistic about squad Busters!🔥🔥🔥

We need ranks/leaderboards, clans of some form with a chat feature, more maps, new characters(but not too many at once), in game events… its supercell, theyve got the formula, i think theyve got a nice structure laid out already and i fully expect theyre gonna be on it with the updates.
i’m sure these things are already in motion. with the “plaza coming soon” like you said, the structure is there. leaderboard is already in game, it’s just for the squad league

The problem Ive come across is the lack obtaining new characters often. Ive been playing since the start of the soft launch and I am currently lvl 43. I only have witch an archer queen (the free epics). Either I have the absolute worst luck in the game, or the chances of obtaining new characters are incredibly low, to the point where its better to buy them from the shop.😑
yeah that’s a problem and complaint i’ve seen across many players. i’ve discussed this in the video and its just a slow progression system that really stinks. i can see wanting to prolong getting characters a little bit so players can’t get everything right away, but it also sucks because it’s defeating when you cant get anybody new. maybe they need to implement like the starr road system that brawl stars has or spending similar

My issue with mega units is that it’s lot optional to use them or not… like I go into some games just farming challenges, not really focused on winning, and BOOM, mega pops up in a chest and I CANT LEAVE…. Basically wasted the mega 🤦🏾♂️ discourages me to farm challenges and makes me play aggro 24/7
on top of the mega unit you can switch it for a normal drop

@@ktstorms5285 it takes incredibly long to switch out and then choose the unit you want especially if youre in the middle of a fight, it should be a toggle disable in the first place.
I think it will be more balaced to not use consumables(not includong megas) in the squad league , because it will make more p2w than competitive and it will ruined it!

The problem with the game being a bit too reliant on P2W mechanics is that when people realize that the only way that they can win is by spending money, they might lose interest in continuing the game. Brawl Stars took a different approach and started producing more and more skins, which is a great way for people to support the gain without gaining too much of an advantage over others. I don't know how the Quad Busters team will introduce cosmetics to the game, but they definitely should do it in order to entice non-spending players to spend money as well, just like how brawl stars manages to do it.
i’m sure the squad busters team is going to introduce things like skins into the game as cosmetics. it is nice to have skins to stand out in the game, but i’d much rather spend my money on progression if anything because at least that will help me advance through the game

yup soft launch means that if it goes global (and it is), your progress will be saved. if it was a closed beta like the previous beta tests, progress doesn’t save

I enjoy squad busters and hope that this game isnt going to make A TON new squad troops (in 1 year/month) like Clash Royale. CR at its start made so many new cards that now there arent any original ideas. Hope you understood my bad english :)

The closed beta looked wayyyyy better than the soft launch, they reworked the progression to be luck based and kinda awkward, they removed skins and voice acting for no reason???
there’s still plenty of time to add more cosmetics and change things in the game

So, this game isn’t a fighting game. It’s closer to Tetris than a fighting game.
I don’t think this game will survive as a pure pvp game. It’s a high score game. Get as high of a streak as possible. Invest resources to have a higher chance to win.
Other things I’d want mob’s to drop keys and re roll tokens. Each chest has different troops so you can just walk to another if you don’t like what you see.
i don’t think bosses dropping reroll tokens and keys is the right way to balance out those consumables. they should just be removed entirely because dropping from bosses wouldn’t be fair either.
according to your idea, this is how that would turn out. having keys and rerolls lets you have a stronger squad, a stronger squad would allow you to take out more bosses, thus giving you more reroll tokens and keys. just creating this ugly snowball effect of P2W totally dominating every, single, game.

100% pay4sex game. once you're done with gem pass, once you'r done spending 6k gold on chests, once you get past beach stage theres absolutely no progression. Only progression is to wait or spend actual money.

keys are definitely OP. being able to open chests and get a fusion or an epic character when you don’t even have the coins to open a chest, it’s not fair. it needs to be removed for sure
