Hey, I love it too, but I came here to write about how lame it was that they treat the shallow short stairway with the nice carpet on top of wood as an automatic death roll. Ridiculous. It's not as easy as that to kill a person, for the stairway to be 2 for 2 is just ridiculous.

The writers did a great job throwing in hilarious smart ass comments near the beginning; I can totally see Rick leaving a large slice of his veg pizza in Dee Dee's desk drawer. LOL!

Stephanie Kramer was an acting powerhouse. That exchange at the end with the boyfriend, she never breaks eye contact. I sometime forget I'm watching a performance with her. Fred on the other hand...
Fred's acting is just fine!! If I needed a cop on my side, it would be him!!!!
@@markclowe Fred was good casting. His enormous physical presence is half the role. When he grabs a thug you know he could mess him up real good in real life. Adds to the believeability. There are some scenes where Steph is tasked with subduing a full grown man and those always looked really fake to me. They should have trained her in some martial arts to make those scenes look more believable.

Fred is a decent actor and clearly develop his skills during the series, though Stepfanie certainly has more previous development with acting, drama, entertainment, singing, expression, etc., which clearly shows.

Actually, as within each media, TV, 'movie', motion picture, the actual presentation of the characters are Fake, False, phony, never real - though sometime just dramatic, dramatized, over emphasized and similar - all similar with the stories, plot, portrayal, presentation
Neither of these are actually interested in the "Truth" or "The Law" - both include the pursuit of truth and full knowledge and acceptance of the US Constitution - which they lack seriously, and show it clearly within every episode !
All of them were fully willing to arrest, prosecute, indict a man based upon circumstantial evidence and without a proper, full ME coroner's report !!

I totally agree that Stepfanie Kramer was better at acting than Fred Dryer. That’s not to say that Fred Dryer was BAD… He WAS effective in the role of Rick Hunter, but mainly because of his physical appearance and his physical talents. In short: It’s an action role that calls more for physical talents than for an actor who can play a range of emotion.

This reminds me of the plot from a CBS Radio Mystery Theater episode, #897, "A Table for Two" from September 25, 1978, where a burglar was getting info from a swanky restaurant waiter about when people were out of the house so he could go rob their homes. The cops eventually put it all together and nailed him.

Yeah Kramer buried herself in the craft called acting while every male at work tried to corrupt her moral judgement.
She was a great actress, deserving of all her awards that were offerred her, and as well the personal admiration of those that watched.

Hunter was Good for McCall and McCall for Hunter....the writers should have made them an item....pity that opportunity was wasted!!
They had their episodes. I would have liked for it to work out but I think it was for the best, the way they wrote it. The other women Hunter had ended up dead or in jail.

Hunter says they found the flashlight with Tommy's prints and the victim's blood in a neighbor's yard. But the security guard saw him run from the front of the house straight to his van and speed away. No one mentioned the obvious fact that he had no opportunity to ditch the object where it was found, supporting his claim of innocence on the murder, and smelling strongly of a frame-up.

i think hunter and dee dee would have been a great couple . they worked as a cop team but would have done great as a couple outside their proffessions also .

yeah I knew when McCall's boyfriend showed up wearing more makeup and eyeshadow than her in this episode, it wasn't gonna last. Total prick. "We just operate in different circles." Really? They both work to catch criminals how is that different circles?

I was in L.A on holiday in 1996 from the UK. Is L.A really that bad?As when we were there we saw some really nice places,Disney land,Sea World in San Deigo, Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm ect.

That was a character "upgrade" after the first season, in which he was a consummate junk food junkie, always creeping McCall out with his suggestions of chili dogs as meals on stakeouts.
@@markclowe Their diets switched around season two or so, presumably with the thought that a 6' 6" & 220lbs guy in that good of shape would probably be eating a rather healthy diet than a steady stream of chili dogs.

what i cant stand about this show is that why the hell couldnt they put hunter and mccall together???!!! all the fans back then kept telling them to put them together but fred dryer and stephanie kramer didnt want that cuz they didnt want it to be like hart to hart. it makes no sense they both keep making out having sex with bunch of other people except just being with each other!!!
They are both very professional police officers, no more, no less. In their minds it would never work so they never go there. What do they say... don't s4!7 where you eat, right? Nothing could be WORSE than trying to carry something on with your close work partner!!! I think that would have been jumping the shark and would have ruined the show if they had done that.
