Midtown Manhattan is the coolest place, in my opinion, so I think the views are absolutely amazing! I personally hate the outdoors, so a view of nature is not my thing

1 for the view and updated/sleek layout (having an open concept main room makes it feel a lot bigger. I feel like the way you style your apartment currently fits in with # 1 more.
Not number 3. That view is blahhh!! I’d go with 4 solely because of the storage space and you get the Hudson River view!! That would top it off for me alone.
But I did really like number 1 too ha x
Love the view in #1 but the kitchen is so tiny, I vote #4 cause it has a bonus space and washer/dryer.

this has to be my FAVORITE vlog ever. i loved coming along apartment hunting with you guys! #4 is definitely most practical space wise but that empire state building view in #2 is AMAZING. you guys have some talkin to do! haha
I just love how homey #2 is! The little nooks and the view was incredible. I think you guys will actually feel more at home in it & it'll make it easier to commit to living there
#2 is my first choice also! It seemed most practical.
I am loving Apartment 1&4. That view at #1 is AMAZING!! I can’t even imagine waking up to that every day. #4 seems more practical. I could NOT live without a washer and dryer. That is a MUST!

The views in apartment 1 are breathtaking but the storage in apt 4 you’re going to need. Imagine being in apartment 1 and you’re squishing your clothes in that closet thinking, “man I could of had a walk in closet”🤣
I liked #4, and the hallway is great for Franny to run while playing fetch; #1 is a close second.

I love #1 but I feel like #4 is most practical. You guys have been so crammed in your studio you need that extra space and like you said it’s so unheard of in nyc to have that kind of space. Good luck 😊
I think you have to think practical and go with number 4! if you need more space washer/dryer etc this is definitely the best bet! although the others had incredible views, all you have to do is walk round the city for those views! And also, the apartment isn't forever you can always pick ones with better views in the future! Good luck with your apartment hunting! love from the UK
katie burrows It depends on whether or not they want to move again in a year or so. If they choose #1, I imagine they would move again in a year because the space is so small.

1,2 or 4. They're definitely all much bigger than your current space which is awesome. Definitely location close to subway for you & Bart for work & cost will be the decider. Best of luck! Can't wait to see which one you chose.
#2 is the prettiest & best but #4 has SO much going on for it that might make it a better living situation so...🤷🏻♀️

The first time I had a washer/dryer in my apartment it changed my life. Gave me back so much time. Storage is always a bonus too!

I vote #4 because of the space and washer! But, I also truthfully vote whichever one Bart likes best. It seemed kind of like he doesn’t want to move as much as you do, so compromising and going with his favorite might be a really kind thing to do!

Number 4 all the way. You can’t undervalue the space. It’s got everything you said you wanted at the start of the video. View. Space. Washer dryer. Number 1 would be my second choice.

A washer and dryer is so important to me. I don't care how nice the apartment is ..no washer and dryer deal breaker. I love love doing my laundry at anytime.

Exactly not to mention the rude people who think it’s ok to remove your clothes if you aren’t present so they can wash and opportunists who will also steal your good clothes never settle for no washer and dryer

I’m torn between #1& #4. The views and light in #1 are fab! The space you get in #4 is great. I love the views in #1 but I’m thinking #4. I love all of the space and once you put your touches on it it will be beautiful! As soon as I saw that hallway I thought of Frannie running up and down it! Lol. A Washer & Dryer is a must have and who’s to say you can take that carpet out or you don’t like it in #4? I would feel like I was living in a fish bowl in #1. Saw the views for #2 and that was an automatic heck no! I’m sure when writing down all the pros and cons and when you both give a Little you will both be happy with your choice! Excited to see what you choose. I love your NY vlogs and of course your flight/travel ones as well. NY is one place I’ve always wanted to visit but never quite made it there, but will one of these days! Good Luck! 🍀

Roxie if he moves uptown that means getting on one of those crowded subway trains to work. Ask any tourist how it felt being on a train during rush hour in the city?

#4!!! That walk in closet is a deal maker for me and the kitchen countertop makes it seem more homey. Frannie will love all the space to run around too.

Definitely number 1. You can always make the kitchen slightly bigger by adding an island. Also you don’t cook that much so it’s not that important

I would go with #4 then #2. You and Bart have to decide what amenities are most important. I need in home laundry and storage space, therefore #4. #2 has the "separate" kitchen which is nice if you are a messy cook, but for me laundry will always win out. Which one has a nearby dog run for Franny?
I was struggle between 2-4 but # 4 flooring is terrible. So I vote for #2 !
I absolutely love the first one! the view in the bedroom is beautiful and its now and modern!
#1!! It has everything and I don’t think you need a huge kitchen area as it seems you and Bart eat out mostly. But the kitchen isn’t terrible in the first apartment and you could always buy a moveable small island of buffet table if you need the extra counter space!!

Bart's commute is the most important factor, since he works so late every weekday. Neighborhood shopping for groceries is also critical. I agree with some who say look again in the FiDi, since Bart can walk to work. Don't settle for an apartment without a washer and dryer.
Please help me to understand why you and others are saying Bart's commute is most important? Stella can work any hour of the day or night and I believe last year's apartment was closer to his work. Stella had a good commute to the airport this year. I'd wouldn't want my wife to be commuting long distances at any hour of the day/night especially since we are talking about NYC. Plus her schedule can be very erratic and a longer commute makes it all the more difficult
I like #2 and #4!!! I think it should come down to location and cost. Which one is closer to a Subway? Which one is closer to a grocery store? Is there a significant cost difference?
I'll say with #2 I like that the kitchen is somewhat separate from the living space. Kitchens can get messy really easily, so it's kind of nice to have it not completely visible from the living room.
The first apartment is beautiful but clearly at the top of the budget. If you plan to cook much, the kitchen is going to be a challenge (I would buy an island to add counter space). I think a view is nice but it has fleeting utility in NYC if it means you are so far to the west that it is a chore to get to a subway, bus or airport shuttle. Especially with how windy the west side gets. I don’t really see the benefit of having your own washer and dryer but I suppose it is helpful in your line of work.The amount of space in #4 is incredible.

Either #2 or #4. I think #4 wins for me because Franny will have a lot of space, and the washer and dryer can’t be beat.
They were all amazing!! But if I had to rank them it would be 1,2,4,3 with 1 being the best (the view was absolutely stunning)

I love all 4 apartments but I have to admit I love apartment #4!!!! It checks basically all your wants when you look at it. And that spare room is perfect for all your storage needs. I can't wait to watch your next video👍

#1 has amazing views, but #4 seems so big & roomy & spacious, can't believe only 774 sq. ft. WOW. Great to have a washer/dryer. don't think you have dish washers but I sure would be lost without mine! good luck with choosing. Love that you take us with you!

I think you should stay in the financial district. Midtown isn't so great. Besides-- none of the views from any of the other apartments were so great. If you do move, insist on the perfect location and an apartment that you really love!

Perfect location means more money. Moving uptown means getting on the crowded train to go to work every day. Now the governor of New York got a committee that came out with a proposal to charge an extra fee just to take Uber or a taxi south of 60th street or to drive your private car there or a truck.
Definitely 1 & 4 since the 2nd one didn’t have washer and dryer. The first one has so much natural light that I really think it helps create a good vibe and comfort when you’re home. The kitchen isn’t THAT small, compared to your kitchen now (at least it’s open) and not cramped in between two walls. Plus, THEW VIEWS. Like you’ll love being home and the modern clean aesthetic might help with inspiration to keep it tidy and wanting to cook and stuff at home more. You’ll wake up with the sun tho lol
The 4th one does have a lot of space, but it did seem really dark in there. The two windows were not very large. Oh AND CARPET ☹️

Thembi Costa.....Because SHE never told us the PRICES.....not fun to watch as a COMPLETE VLOG ......I live in RENO, Nv. And the RENTS have gone up $100 each year since 2014. Average 1 bed /bath w/ enclosed Patio. some with a fireplace. some with laundry room/ or in the apt.....and Pools, Gyms/hot tub sauna/ tennis/ ball courts..covered on roof only parking lot spaces....are Now $ 1,100. month. some you have to pay for sewer/water/trash separate = $60 Some apt.complexes include in this amt of rent...but all have tenant pay Power bill for heat/gas/electric. and some have very nice community club houses. SO Would you tell me what the average PRICE for NYC apts she looked at for 1 bed w/washer/dryer & amenities would COST ??? Thanks Have a great WEEK, S.P.
New subbie here and a native New Yorker now residing in VA, I kow how space challenged NY apartments are so space wise I would say #4 plus it had washer/dryer but I understand getting somewhere close to where Bart works is important also, can't wait to see which one you guys will go with. I pick #1! And i think that’s your favorite as well. I think #2 is Bart’s favorite. My advice is you moved to New York and want to live in this area for a reason. If you want to live in New York and in a great area then you might as well go all out and get the best bang for your buck! Which is totally #1! That apartment screams New York. Also a washer and dryer shouldn’t even be a question. It’s a necessity.

Loved this vlog!!! I'm torn between 1 and 4. The views in #1 are TO DIE FOR! BUUUUUUT, that storage space in NYC is such a hot commodity! I know you're not crazy about the carpet in #4, but you'll do most of your living in the main living room area, and you'll only really have to deal with the carpeting when you're getting ready for bed/ getting up in the morning. PLUS, that washer/dryer is amazing. One of my bff's lives in Manhattan and is always saying how much it sucks to go to a laundromat. Ok, nvm. After I typed it all out, I'm clearly not torn. My vote is #4. Whatever you choose though, I'm sure it'll be right for you guys! Thanks for giving us a glimpse into your world! Good luck choosing!!!

I like #1 and #4!! #1 is more modern and has an amazing view but it is still small. #4 is big, has a good view, has more space, bigger closets, i think if you imagine #4 with furniture in it, it will look, have and feel a very homey vibe to it!! 😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍 love yoy stella!!! 💞💞💞
This was an exciting vlog to see because I don't think I would've seen such apts in NY any other way; given that I don't reside in NYC. Anyhow, now I see why Stella is always so full of joy and I can see that Bart just makes her even happier. It's great to see that they are able to choose/select from so many options; Which is Awesome!!! Since not too many people have the income or the means necessary to be able to do the same. Best wishes & continued success to them.

#4! Washer, dryer combo! Plus extra room for storage. Liked the wood flooring also. A view is nice but you will be looking at your stuff most of the time not out the window.
I love #2! I love that it's not a complete square, still quite abit of natural light, more home feeling BUT also still modern. I love it! I also like #1 natural light, and #4 has A LOT of space! tough choice!

I liked the first one. I'm just from a small town and live a simple life but I am sort of fascinated that the apartments there are the same size of the vacation rooms we stay in every year, but it actually looks really cool and at least you have things to do there. I loved the first one for the view and how much bigger or roomier it seems because of it. Best of luck w/ it.
