I have two cars benz w 115 and 123
Both vehicles do not run very badly
The w 115 car was the official car used by the world’s first prime minister
My dream is to get those 2 cars running
It is not easy
The politicians of sri lanka have stolen the national economy and the whole country is in debt to the world
The country is now being run by IMF and world aid
Everything is taxed
Just breathing is not taxed
I have seen benz cars abandoned in some countries which are in the best condition
Both my cars have about 60% damage to the bumper
Recovery is difficult

Each to their own I guess. I still don´t understand what kind of "beauty" many people see is in "stancing" the wheels that extremely and airride does NOT belong to such a classic car either.

@@aestbird Really? I didn´t know they made that standard too. But I assume it is in no way as extreme as the after-market versions of the airride?
the purpose of this airide is to keep the hight the same if you ad some lugadge in your trunck , or put more people in the car . It has 2 positions . normal and high . But you can easely lower it by changing some connecting rods

@@aestbirdThanks for the info. I am sure airride is great on newer luxury cars (and maybe also on old ones). What I don´t like is the way it stands when not driving. My personal opinion - and i stress that this is merely my own opinion - is that a classic car like this should be kept as close as possible to standard specs. When it has this massive camber (or what it is called) and when the body of the car almost hits the ground when it stands still and is parked due to the airride system (the "original" 280 SE certainly did NOT hang to the ground when parked), then a car like this just more reminds me of Johnny´s 1995 Honda Civic that has been "pimped" everywhere. I just don´t think it really fits with a classic car like this. Personally I would also not buy a 1950s Rolls Royce and then paint orange flames on the side of the car - if you get my point. But again - the owner decides what he does to his car. Not me.
@@sukhmaidickoff lowering your car has significant pros and cons, if you go this low its pointless, its more of a air out and check out how good it looks this low, wouldnt drive that low ever
