    Dude ratted on his father so he could get his dad's money that was stashed. He already stoled a million💲 from his father. He's lying when he said his father made him joined the mob. That's not how it works,the other leaders (which his dad was not a leader) pick the person threw reputation on the streets of chicago. The outfit has.street gangs like the C-notes and Gaylords where they get new blood. This dude knew where his father's money was and wanted to get to it, so he ratted everyone out. He's a liar and should be ashamed of himself. When he ratted on his father he only had a year to go before he was free, his old man only had 2 years left. How could you do that to your father? Greed.

    • @RedStl
      @RedStl Před 4 lety +2

      gunter smith they showed the one they meant to show. According to his uncle, the actual Spilotro hit happened in a basement where they had lured them by saying Mike was going to be made. The corn field was just where they were buried not where they were killed like in Casino.

    • @cabooseabs6864
      @cabooseabs6864 Před 4 lety +2

      @@RedStl I was talking about where they showed joe pesci being shot which is a scene from goodfellas. Which is a whole different movie, state and set of characters.

    • @cabooseabs6864
      @cabooseabs6864 Před 4 lety +1

      @@RedStlI just watched the whole clip again. It said "Anthony spilotros murder inspired this scene from the movie goodfellas" which is untrue. That scene in goodfellas was actually inspired by the real life killing of tommy desimone(a ny mob associte) in New York. Pesci just happened to play tony spilotro(Chicago gangster in Casino) and pesci played tommy Desimone in the movie goodfellas. While your correct spilotro was murdered in a based not a cornfield, They used the wrong clip from the wrong movie.

    • @RedStl
      @RedStl Před 4 lety +1

      gunter smith yes I know what you meant. I’m saying the point of them showing the Goodfellas scene instead of the scene in Casino when Spilotro was killed in the cornfield was because the Goodfellas scene was more accurate in terms of the circumstances under which the Spilotro’s were killed (even tho it was a different story/set of characters etc). Basement, lured to a meeting to with the bosses to be promoted/made etc.

    • @RedStl
      @RedStl Před 4 lety

      gunter smith I agree that saying ‘inspired this scene’ is incorrect and misleading. However it does more accurately portray the Spilotro circumstances which is what I believe they were intending to show.

    You know the saddest part is that guys like this, regardless of how nice a guy they are now, they were violent criminals. Now they have book deals and movie deals, making a small fortune off their criminal past. I guess crime does pay.

    • @jakeharris3248
      @jakeharris3248 Před 5 lety

      Joe B there is such a thing called the son of Sam laws (David Horowitz apparently wrote a book while serving his life sentence for the murders he committed in NYC in the summer of 1977 and he clearly made a pretty decent amount and this caused much public outrage) , which state something to the effect that once a person is convicted of a crime they aren’t allowed to write a book or screenplay and turn a profit from it. I’m not sure how this guy got around this law except that it was likely pretty easy to write the book in a way that made it more about setting his father up and all that entailed as opposed to simply listing all his crimes with the details etc etc. that’s my guess anyway.

      The spilotros lured in by a promotion for Anthony and Michael being made, they were beaten to near death (they thought they were dead) and then buried alive in cornfield, this has never been evidence that Desimone was lured to his death by being lied to about being made, I think the news cast stuffed it up, but the similarities are there

      @Greg Sam Vita I havn't seen it if you could post a link that would be good but I find it humorous that such a 'dedicated' 'old school' 'gangster' was willing to give an interview as his son Michael has stated him to be, as I'm sure you know: He hated Michael for 'ratting out' This could be an interesting turn of events on what happens between John and Michael as I find Michael to be a capitalist at the highest extreme, His bible bashing is just a new con hence his current wealth.
      That being said, I love how he became the 'yuppy don' of the 80s and taught these old dogs new tricks. I didnt realise 'Sonny' was out. I wonder if the Columbo's will let him 'retire' If they made him boss with the short years he had left maybe he could turn the organisation around but at the same time he might be too out of his depth in this Modern nightmare we live in.
      Interesting times for us 'Mobster' Fans, I wish we could have more Documentaries regarding current events but I think dumbarse Gotti ruined true news on mob current events, Thanks for the heads up.
