Very rare treat to get to see Richie in studio working and not just doing interviews. He's the reason I picked up a guitar in 1992. 🎸HAIL THE KING OF SWING🎸
The one and only, Richie Sambora, the great voice, the best guitar and backing vocals ever in rock history, the great song writer, the biggest solos and so strong playing live. This is the man I have followed since I was a boy. Always knew he was a a huge part of the best band ever. So underrated but always my favorite, cheers to Richie.
I listen to this over and over, sooo good. I heard Frampton doing the voice box when I was younger. It was the novelty of it then. Now it's totally about the music. Richie is def the best.
I Think The Judgements Are Coming In Fast- BonJovi Needs Richie Back & Soon...They Tried It Without Him But They Need Him Back ..Current Concerts Results Are Showing A Toll Jon Voice Is Taking As A Result Of Teying To Carry On Without Him
He's is a real MUSIC MAN! Plays with his heart and even a single note it's pure heaven. He has the power to overtake my mind and soul, and he's also very handsome. What else to say?
Just a bit of trivia here: This is the same studio where Steppenwolf recorded Born to be Wild. The organ was still in one of the rooms. Also, I took this little video off a Nikon Camera... switched over to Video. Totally spur of the moment type thing. And Richie was so gracious and so professional. What a great guy. He came in on his only day off in 3 months to do this for us. The song kicks butt and Richie's guitar & talk box made it all that much better. Thanks for watching... BQ
I’m an 80’s kid but I was never very much into Bon Jovi at the time. I liked harder stuff like Iron Maiden, Armored Saint, Fates Warning etc. But in later years I have really come to respect this guy and his musicianship tremendously. I never realized what a phenomenal guitar player he was really because the spotlight was far bigger on Jon Bon Jovi. But what a beast of a musician Richie is. Wow.
Very Well Put & Well Explained...He Is The Very Best Of The Best..He Is In A Class All His Own & A Great Master Of The Music..He Never Stops Doing Or Trying Something New..He Is A True Master Of His Craft & One Of The Very Best All Around Player/Singers To Date Still With Us...💙💙💙
You're still The One, Ritch! Thank you for all the emotions your incredible guitar (I prefer your strats and superstrats tho') and soulful voice gave us all thru the years. God bless you Mr Bluesman
Richie’s my favorite always laughing in a lot of other videos I’ve seen. I like Phil X also but would love for Richie to be back. but it is what it is.
Bo Jovi HasTrying To Go On Since Richie Left But They Have Not Been The Same Since..I Love Them All As People But When You Listen As A Band They Have Always Sounded Less Than Perfect...I Know Not All Bands Can Carry On When They Lose Key Members & I Believe All Did What They Could Withing In Their Power To Keep BonJovi A Great Band & The What We See Now Is Not The Best Of Bon Jovi... I Feel Sad Jon's Voice Is Going But They Need To Do Something Soon & I Think Working At Havi g Richie Come Back To Help Ease The Stress Jon's Voice Is Having Is Neede D Before They Lose The Tour..
@@jeffprilbuno472 I wouldn't say the band is shit without Richie but the two together is magic. Jon has a or had a great voice. Jon did a good job making this band a name in terms of media. He was a great spokes person. He has the look and the smile to win both men and women over.. He's a go getter
Even when Richie stops to do it again, he sounded perfect the first time. Yet when I heard the finished product, I wish this was more pronounced. Song is great though, H and E sound(s) great.
When that engineer said “yes”? Me as an engineer… literally said the same thing. And went 😩😩😩😩 followed by 😖😖😖 you know… “THE FACE”. That shit set it offf my godddd.
This is pretty cool! But for all you saying Bon Jovi needs him, yeah not really, for the original band yes but bloody hell Phil X has done one of the best fill jobs of all time. Give him some credit! He lightened the band up again, he made them and everyone seem un sure. it built suspense which you need in a band from time to time especially as Bon Jovi gets into their final years but he came through It would be nice to see Richie back but I think Phil X has given them their spark back again, especially live! But what do I know.....
Richie has nothing to do with Phill. They are completely diferent.I give credit to Phil , but BJ need him.Chorus, feeling and presence has not the same flavour than with Richie.
Well i guess i have never seen them with Richie so i can't say, but to me there wasn't anything lacking, but yeah he wasn't on the last tour so can't do anything about it now :)
Phil X was probably the best choice that could have been made. They didn't need to be bringing in a big name that's for sure, and Phil does lend that lighter side as mentioned and is capable from the virtuosity standpoint. The only thing about the whole situation is we have a band that's pretty much reached where they are 'because' of Sambora, Jon & boys are great talents but it's almost like a Zeppelin without Page kind of proposition. Without that "Jon & Ritchie" presence it's simply nothing but some sort of a novelty, really. There's no more problem with the band actually staying big, their position is established, and the biggest part of the songwriting collaboration is behind them..but it's still, again, a matter of that presence.
Now is sooo easy record a song....you just record exactly the part that you need or the part that you need to do again and finish....early years you had to do alll the song with that tapes.
He literally says at 1:38, " You liking that Joe Perry shit I'm doing?" (Joe Perry does that sort of thing on Aerosmith's Sweet Emotion a lot) & yes, Frampton was famous for it. But as far as most famous songs with a Talkbox go, Livin on a Prayer & Its my life are ahead of the rest.
Nobody does Talk Box like Richie!!
Slash was better imo

2019?
what song?

He's not the first one to use the talk box. Peter Frampton made it big back in 70's.
No one said he was the first. He is just great and so was Frampton.
Lo que sucede es que Richie ha sacado más provecho al talkbox que Peter frampton. Y antes que yo ya se usaba en los años 60
