if i see the stencil on me with all the scales and the tattoo artist makes a plaid pattern i’d be very angry
yea same but u need to keep in mind that u won't be able to see all the tiny scale details in like half a year anyway..
would be different if it was a whole thigh or back piece but i think it's the best choice here
@@mariaeduardasousa7603 of cause that makes total sense but i guess that also depends a lot on the artist .. some will do it like in this video and some will probably have all the details in it but with this size i just think it's more reasonable to not overwork the skin for details u can't see from 1m away anyway
Tattoos are not cheap because its not easy as it looks try to mantain the same depth in a skin every single time, not only that needles, products, the time we put to study art, to make yourself an artist it's not so easy all the hard work you have to put in order to be at a tattoo shop people dont see this, she made a really good tattoo

and of cause the pricing is always a big topic on both ends but sadly I don't know much about that topic but your points made a lot of sense so I'll take em as they r
I 100% agree. Worst part is that it’s noticeable that they just did rows instead of scaling. Also not a big fan of how large of lining they did. Would have made more sense to outline in a thicker needle and then go in to detailing like how they did the flowers
But why would you do the scales like that, you didnt really try at all, like the actual stincel how each one of the intersecting lines has a tiny diamond in them and you just did this horrific cross lined pattern.. Lol id be livid if that was my tattoo for real.. Sorry to be the one person to actually speak out about it but Jesus Christ almighty

I feel like the way you did the snake was cutting hella corners and it does not look as good as the stencil. I wouldn’t be very happy about that. Your work is permanent. Be careful.......
baby bree I didn’t like how he made the head actual scales and then the whole body were squares lol..
Ngl I though the head scales were pretty fucked anyway 😅 like it'd be easier and look better if the artist had recreated a snakes actual head scales (they're bigger and more structured than body scales) so it would look better over time and be easier... so not sure why they decided to make up head scales with no reference

Should of used a smaller grouping of needles. With their shakey linework, I doubt it would look better.
Each square is unique you cant do just long line work with this
I think a smaller needle and thinner lines would of made it look nicer

Gosh, this really made me iffy about getting my snake and rose tattoo...
The stencil look really good :( so sad that the line work was made it that poor way

Indeed. A very neat tattoo but u should have followed the stencil. The snake skin on the stencil was beautiful and natural. But the artist has decided "nope. Snake skin are better off lookin like a fish net" 🤣

Right! The stencil was so beautiful and the tattoo so underwhelming... No wonder they put the stencil as their thumbnail and not the tattoo haha
But honestly though, I'm having a hard time believing they actually draw the stencil themselves... Why so many details in the drawing if you're just like screw that when you're tattooing it? You either don't care that much about the details or you know your style or your limits and decide it's best to avoid them, or you just tattoo them!
And the ASMR music is just the final touch lmao
If I was getting this, I would cry at the result. The stencil shows beautiful details (although too many in some parts, like the leaves, that would not tattoo well). But instead of doin individual scales, the artist went for lines like it was fishnet stockings. The lines are way too thick compared to stencils, no shading, almost no details in flowers and leaves. If you can't do what you drew for you stencil then simplify the stencil. The client got a completely different and way more boring and sad tattoo. This will need a cover up or at least some extra work.
Honestly if this artist had used the same line weight for 90% of a tattoo on me I'd be raging, then add on the criss cross scales and I don't even know what I'd be saying...

I'd love to know what you're using to create these stencils? That's such a clean stencil compared to what I'm used to seeing.
Probably used a stencil printer. I'm jealous of artists who have them. Hand stenciling all mine makes my hands cramp so badly.

Hola! estoy aprendiendo a tatuar y quisiera saber cuanto deberia dejar sobresalir la aguja del grip para evitar clavarla muy profundo o que quede una linea muy superficial!
3mm, aproximadamente, pero en tatuaje todo depende, del tipo de piel, del recorrido de la aguja, de tu mano... No hay de otra mas que probar distintas cosas y aprender haciendo

Dragonhawk has great beginner kits for coils and rotaries. Still use a couple from my first kit every now and then..
Please god dont buy a dragonhawk. Invest the right money and you will notice a huge difference!

They just did fishnets. The stencil showed beautiful separate scales, artist fucked it up.
Alot of people here seem to be under the misconception that thicker lines last longer. "Thin lines wont last as long" "Thick lines hold up longer". First and foremost for you people that think this is henna tattoos talking about how long the tattoo will last. Forever, it will last forever, it's a tattoo. And second, how the lines age is mostly based on in what manner they are put in the skin not how thick they are. With that said, i watch alot of these girls clips and i love how their stuff looks. Alot of that is thanks to the bold lines, it makes them pop like hell. However i do not like how this one was done, the scales should have been done with a smaller needlegroup for sure
